If you’re playing Diablo IV, now’s a good time to check the in-game shop, since it seems there is a free weapon cosmetics available to claim! From what we personally tested, it looks like each player can claim one weapon cosmetic, however, it may not be the same for everyone! It is also unknown if this is only available today or not, so you better be quick if you want a free cosmetic!
Random Free Weapon Cosmetics?
According to a post on Reddit, multiple players have claimed to have been able to grab a free weapon cosmetic in the shop. As you can see in the following original post, the owner was able to get a Vermilion Witchknife weapon cosmetic:
However, according to the comments, it seems that not everyone is receiving the same weapon! Some claimed getting a sword skin, dagger, scythe, staffs, and more!
I personally was able to grab the following Orichalcum Blade weapon cosmetic:
It’s unclear if the item is random or somehow linked to your active class, but one thing’s for sure: it’s free! If you check your store often, you will notice that similar free items sometimes pop up for you to grab. A little trick from Blizzard to make you check the cosmetic store regularly in order to see if you didn’t miss anything cool for your character!
There doesn’t seem to be any official announcement about those free items, as they randomly appear and leave again from player’s shops. That’s why, if you don’t want to miss out, log in soon and check the Shop Featured section for free cosmetics.
