If you want to spend more time smashing monsters than figuring out loot, here are some tips to minimize your downtime in town between dungeons.

Helpful Tips for Evaluating Endgame Loot

  • Turn on Advanced Tooltips in the Game Menu to see affix ranges.
  • Figure out which affixes can roll for you on each slot and which is the best affix combination for your build.
  • Identify your equipped gear that’s less optimized.
  • When you reach a point where gear has optimal affix spread, you want to look for higher rolls on these affixes.
  • When comparing drops to your equipped gear, always pay attention to Red numbers, not the Green ones. Identical affixes will be red since they are not upgraded yet and your equipped piece will have higher stats since it’s fully upgraded.
  • You can quickly go through loot by looking for Affixes with Red numbers next to them instead of looking at each stat individually.
  • At the very bottom of item tooltips, you will find the affixes you will replace.
  • You should always sort your items before evaulating. On PS5, you can sort loot using R3. This will sort your gear by slot and item power.
  • Weapons with higher item power are most desirable in 95% of cases. If you see a weapon with item power less than 800, it’s probably not an upgrade.
  • Sorting makes it easier to find Sacred items.
  • Don’t keep all Legendaries. Turn the 100% and near-perfect rolls into Aspects and keep them in your stash or Aspect inventory.
  • When you maintain an inventory of Aspects, you will evaluate Legendaries faster and know which you can destroy because you already have a better version of that Aspect
