Is Diablo 4 Season 11 the Game-Changer We Have Been Waiting For?

During Cliptis’ latest stream, Diablo 4 community manager Adam Fletcher, also known as Pez Radar, showed up in chat and instantly set the community on fire.

The “Wanderer”

Between teasing Season 11’s upcoming Tempering and Masterworking changes, and confirming that a lot will be announced during the next Sanctuary Sitdown, Fletcher ended his messages with a short but impactful line:

The new class is a wanderer.

That one sentence was enough to send Diablo players spiraling into memes, theories, and some sort of panic. Some thought it was a genuine tease for the next playable class, but others were quick to remind everyone that “The Wanderer” is literally just the name for the player character. We are all Wanderers in Diablo.

Still, it did not stop the speculations from running wild.

Paladin, Crusader, or Something New?

Ever since Vessel of Hatred, the number-one question on every player’s mind has been what is the next class? The current guesses are:

  • Paladin or Crusader – A holy warrior with heavy armor and shields, long requested, and it would actually make sense to release that right now.
  • Spiritcaller / Blood Mage – The more “dark magic” option, with sacrificial rituals and stuff like that.

When Pez said “Wanderer,” it was most likely just a teasing way to say “you will find out soon”, but it definitely got everyone excited, because it could also mean the next class does indeed come with Season 11, and not the actual next expansion.

What Is Actually Confirmed for Season 11

While the class talk is pure speculation, Adam Fletcher did confirm several big updates coming with Season 11:

  • Major Tempering and Masterworking reworks
  • Combat, defense, and healing updates
  • Changes to Renown and leveling
  • New Endgame activity

He also confirmed PTR feedback will directly influence the season 11 launch balance, and a detailed Season 11 blog will release one hour before the Sanctuary Sitdown. More details will be shared during this sitdown as well.

The Community Mood

Right now, the vibe across Reddit and Discord is a mix of hype and confusion. Players are excited for how big the confirmed changes sound, but they are also tired of the wait, and still hoping for something that will really reignite the hype before the expansion lands next year.

As one top comment joked:

Tempering changes sound great and all, but if I can’t smite demons with a Paladin soon, I’m uninstalling.”

Whatever Adam Fletcher meant by “The Wanderer,” he definitely succeeded in getting players to talk. It is a clever teaser, and Diablo 4’s Season 11 is going to be one of the biggest change the game has seen yet.
