Looks like the Diablo 4 PTR may have given us a sneak peek at what is coming in Season 10! The PTR is here so we can test everything, from new content, updated features, to UI changes and more! Typically, you will not necessarily open your cosmetic menu during the PTR, because you will not keep those characters anyway. No one will bother with it.
However, this time you might want to take a look at the pet menu. As I was checking the cosmetics in the PTR build, a new pet showed up in the list! One that is not currently available!
Season 10 Journey Pet
The pet is a fox-like creature with glowing red fur and infernal armor, and according to the tooltip, it will be obtainable in Season 10 through the Infernal Chaos Season Journey!
The little fox is called Pandora, and this is the description:
“The Blood-glens are full of their kind,” whispered Farely the Druid. “Wolves, carrion-eaters… foxes. Are they called here by this profane magic? Or born of it?”
For reference, in the current Season 9, the Journey reward pet is unlocked by completing Chapter 6: Champion. That chapter usually requires you to progress into Torment 3 difficulty and complete a mix of content, including taking down bosses. It is challenging but still achievable for most players who push through the season.
As we kept exploring this menu, we noticed that Season 10 follows the same pattern. You can expect to unlock this fiery fox pet by completing similar endgame journey tasks, such as:
- Reach Rank 18 with the Viz Jaq’taar Reputation
- Salvage 5 Chaos Armor at the Blacksmith
- Craft any Jewelry Cache at the Jeweler, a Smithy Cache at the Blacksmith, and salvage 99 Ancestral Legendary gear
- Complete Pit tier 55 or higher
- Improve a Paragon Glyph to Rank 45
- Defeat Bartuc
- Complete 10 Chaos Waves (in the new Infernal Hordes)
It is unknown if this was intentional or not, but it is our first look at what is likely the Season 10 Seasonal Journey pet reward, and honestly, it might be the best-looking one yet!
