Patch 1.1.1 Nightmare Dungeon Mob Density Increase Examples and Reactions

The patch has upped the number of mobs in NMDs and we’re going to be taking a look at some examples, as well as community reactions to the changes! The increase was pretty significant, as players are either enjoying themselves and blasting through it, or are having some additional difficulties getting the (now) horde down at all.

First off (most) players are pretty satisfied with the changes. In terms of improved experience gains we’ve seen both high praise and some reports of not that much XP. Overall we’d say that there’s more XP going around after the patch, based on player reports.

Some players are even having “problems” getting all that extra loot back to town!

On a less ironic note, others are having actual problems, as the new mob counts are a little too troublesome for them. These particular takes are… very specific.

And then there’s the actual short run clips that showcase the, now pretty populated, NMDs. We’ll start off with the absolutely hilarious and spiky one. A nightmare indeed.

Rob also took a look at the new density with a full comparison with the pre-patch version!

On a personal note, I think that this is what Diablo density should feel like. Even if it could be overwhelming at times, it’s worth it and I love it. I’ve had a lot of hairy encounters since the patch with the large clumps of elites that are now present in certain places, and it’s been some of the best (and most difficult) times I’ve had with the game so far.

But enough about me, how are you liking the new density? Awesome mob bonanza or slowing you down horror?
