If you are one of the players that want all the achievements in a game, trying to get that in Diablo 4 is one of the ultimate challenges. Most achievements will unlock naturally as you progress through the campaign, explore dungeons, and build your character, but a few are tricky, especially those related to the Fields of Hatred (PvP zones).
This guide breaks down what you need to do in order to get the PvP related achievements/trophies.
Diablo 4 Platinum Trophy Checklist
To unlock the Platinum trophy on PlayStation, you will need to complete all other achievements, including:
- Campaign completion – finish the main story and Vessel of Hatred story.
- Level progression – reach max level with all classes.
- Dungeon & World Boss achievements – clear every possible content across Sanctuary.
- Seasonal & exploration goals – collect Altars, renown, etc.
- PvP Trophies – get kills in the Fields of Hatred. (This is the hardest part.)
These also count for Xbox or PC achievements, since they are all the same.
The PvP Problem in Diablo 4
The Fields of Hatred are meant to be Diablo 4’s PvP arenas, but the reality is that they are boring and mostly empty. Many players report waiting hours without seeing another soul, making the PvP achievements almost impossible to get if you just walk around waiting to encounter other players.
One player summed it up perfectly: “I’ve been sitting in the Fields of Hatred for hours. Not a single person showed up.“
How to Get the PvP Achievements
The good news is that players found a workaround that works and still counts for trophies and achievements:
- Form a party with other players who also need the achievements.
- Enter the Fields of Hatred together.
- Disband the party once inside.
- Take turns killing each other until everyone gets credit for the required kills.
It may sound cheesy, but it is currently the only reliable way to unlock the PvP trophies. Multiple players have confirmed that this method works for both PlayStation Trophies and Xbox or PC achievements.
Just make sure to be polite, rotate kills, make sure everyone gets their turn, and confirm that achievements unlocked before leaving.
DO NOT use the party finder to invite people for other activities, when in reality you are waiting to kill them in the Fields of Hatred. There is no need for actual backstabbing for this.
Will PvP Improve in the Future?
This whole situation highlights Diablo 4’s PvP issue. The zones lack activities, rewards, and population. Many players have suggested improvements like:
- Dedicated PvP boss fights
- Guild-based PvP battles
- Seasonal PvP rewards to attract more players
For now, the Fields of Hatred remain quiet, but with the community’s help, you can still push through and claim your achievement.
