Need a break from prepping for Final Fantasy XIV’s next Savage tier? Heavensturn has returned, commemorating the year of the horse in the zodiac calendar (not to be confused with Zodiac weapons). Here’s what you need to know to claim this year’s rewards:
Quest Location & Rewards
To start this year’s Heavensturn quest, head to the Aftcastle at Limsa Lominsa’s Upper Decks (X: 11.5, Y: 13.9). Talk to Uma Bugyo to accept the quest “Seize the Neigh“, just make sure you are level 15 and have access to La Noscea. This will start a 2-quest chain where you build up the confidence of the littlest unicorn. It’s just like Umamusume if you squint at it funny. 🐎
Said unicorn, the Uma-no-unicolt, will be your reward for the quests for your (alleged) pureness of heart. But it’s not the only event item you can pick up.
Just next to the quest’s starting location you can find the Uma Shonin selling a trio of Heavensturn items. Those with access to apartments or housing estates can grab a Gilded Screen to add some far eastern flair to your abode. Those starting a new Disciple of the Land can grab some Zoni, a level 9 meal giving a boost to your GP and perception. And as with all XIV events, there’s an Advent Cakes Magicked Prism to light up your duty roulettes.
In addition to the rewards, players can also receive an Omikuji, a fortune commemorating the New Year. Just talk to the Far Eastern Omikujishi south of the Heavensturn quest location (X: 11.8 Y: 14.2). You will need to pay 100 gil to receive a fortune, but you can do so as many times as you like. Your omikuji will give you your prospects for multiple aspects of your life: adventuring, relationships, prosperity, conflict, and favor. Hopefully you will do better than this Au Ra.
