Version 4.2 of Honkai: Star Rail is set to introduce a new trio of characters to its banner. Coming in the update is Evanescia, joined by a new version of Silver Wolf and a brand new Elation path for the Trailblazer. Together, these additions hint at major developments for gameplay giving players plenty to look forward to as Version 4.2 approaches.

What do We Know About the New Characters?
Silver Wolf Lv.999
Silver Wolf Lv.999 will follow the Path of Elation and will be an Imaginary Main DPS character.
Evanescia
Evanescia will follow the Path of Elation and will be a Physical Main DPS character. Many players have noticed that Evanescial is an “Expy” of other HoYoVerse characters such asYae Sakura from Honkai Impact 3rd and Yae Miko from Genshin Impact.
Elation Trailblazer
Elation Trailblazer will follow the Path of Elation and will be a Lightning character. An exciting thing to note about elation trailblazer is that they weild a glowstick as their weapon!
What Else do we Know about Future Updates?
Following the Version 4.2 update several characters will receive enhancements including the limited 5-stars Firefly, Huohuo and Seele along with the standard 5-star character Welt.
At some point in 4.X two additional characters are also expected to appear: Blade SP and Nihilux. Blade SP version will likely feature a different Path or an updated kit, while it is still unclear whether Nihilux will become a playable character or remain part of the story only.
