Following the reveal of Aino, Genshin Impact has officially shared more on Lauma, the second character drip for the Nod-Krai region! And she is nothing like her fellow inventor.
Lauma is calm, spiritual, and deeply connected and involved in the old traditions of the land, serving as the Moonchanter of the Frostmoon Scions. They can be compared to secluded people still clinging to their ancient faith.

Who is Lauma?
- “Evermoon’s Sacrament Song”
- Maiden of the Grove
- Moon Wheel (Vision): Dendro
- Constellation: Cerva Nivea
Lauma is a figure of humility and mystery. A priestess crowned with antlers, chosen not by a god, but by her people, in hopes that she might one day reach their silent goddess: the Lady of the Frost Moon.
Though many in Nod-Krai view the Scions as some people who are stuck in the past, and out of their time, Lauma has become their voice. Her presence is peaceful, but her role carries a ton of weight, a living bridge between the old ways and the unknown future.
The Frostmoon Scions – Ancient & Isolated
The Scions are the original inhabitants of Nod-Krai, but have become even more isolated as the region has changed. Bound by their worship of the moon and many rituals, they see the dark forest as sacred, and the moonlight as some kind of divine protection.
They ask the same question in every prayer:
“Oh, Goddess of the Frost Moon, when will you answer our wishes?”
And with every silence, they look again to Lauma.
Quotes That Reveal Her Character
Even her allies speak of her with both respect and realism. From Nefer:
“Under our Moonchanter’s most benevolent watch, no innocents or animals shall come to harm… sigh. Or so I would like to say. But should the law of the jungle fall away, some sharp-fanged beasts will surely be starved the taste of flesh.”
Lauma may be a priestess of peace, but she lives in a wild land, and she knows how thin the veil of safety truly is.
A New Dendro Vision – Nature as Sanctuary
Lauma has a Dendro Vision, but not in the Sumeru way of logic and academia. Hers is much more focused on nature as sanctuary, spirit, and tied more to ritual and emotion than intellect.
Lauma’s introduction suggests that Nod-Krai’s story arc will head really deep into faith, abandonment, and tradition. Her people have prayed for generations to a goddess who has never answered, and yet Lauma continues to carry their hope, stepping out from the trees and into the moonlight.
