Aino Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Aino build guide for Genshin Impact. Aino is a powerful 4-Star Hydro support for Lunar Reaction teams. In our guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Aino, from building the best Artifacts and Weapons to important stat priorities and rotations.

Best Weapons for Aino

Listed below are Aino's best weapons. While weapons are listed in a priority order, what's best to build on your Aino can vary depending on the team composition and level of investment you want to put into Aino.

Flame-Forged Insight

Mind in Bloom

Base ATK: 510

Elemental Mastery: 165

When Electro-Charged, Lunar-Charged, Bloom, Lunar-Bloom, Crystallize or Lunar-Crystallize is triggered, restore 12 / 15 / 18 / 21 / 24 Elemental Energy and increase Elemental Mastery by 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120 for 15 seconds. This effect can be triggered at most once every 15s and can be triggered even when the equipping character is off-field.

One of the best and most convenient weapons Aino can use, providing her with a ton of Elemental Mastery and Energy. This is a free weapon, but if you don't already have it, it can no longer be obtained.
Master Key

Fall Into Place

Base ATK: 454

Energy Recharge: 61.3%

Upon causing an Elemental Reaction, increases Elemental Mastery by 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120 for 12s. Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: Elemental Mastery from this effect is further increased by 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is off-field.

This weapon is highly identical to Flame-Forged Insight and can be obtained for free via crafting in Nod-Krai, so it's a fantastic alternative.
Forest Regalia

Forest Sanctuary

Base ATK: 565

Energy Recharge: 30.6%

After triggering Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Lunar-Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, a Leaf of Consciousness will be created around the character for a maximum of 10s. When picked up, the Leaf will grant the character 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120 Elemental Mastery for 12s. Only 1 Leaf can be generated this way every 20s. This effect can still be triggered if the character is not on the field. The Leaf of Consciousness' effect cannot stack.

If using Aino in a Lunar-Bloom team, this is a great weapon she can use to provide even more Elemental Mastery buffing.
Favonius Greatsword

Windfall

Base ATK: 454

Energy Recharge: 61.3%

CRIT Hits have a 60% / 70% / 80% / 90% / 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s / 10.5s / 9s / 7.5s / 6s.

If your team has characters with high Energy needs, this is a good weapon Aino can use to provide additional support.
Wolf's Gravestone

Wolfish Tracker

Base ATK: 608

ATK: 49.6%

Increases ATK by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. On hit, attacks against opponents with less than 30% HP increase all party members' ATK by 40% / 50% / 60% / 70% / 80% for 12s. Can only occur once every 30s.

Aino can use this weapon to provide a good ATK% buff. However, the buff from this weapon is unreliable to activate, and does not have good uptime, so it's generally not worth using.

Best Artifacts for Aino

Instructor

Instructor

2-Piece Set: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.

4-Piece Set: Upon triggering an Elemental Reaction, increases all party members' Elemental Mastery by 120 for 8s.

Aino's best general support set is 4-piece Instructor, which provides a strong teamwide Elemental Mastery buff after she triggers an Elemental Reaction. To refresh the buff in longer rotations, swap back to Aino and trigger another reaction.
Silken Moon's Serenade

Silken Moon's Serenade

2-Piece Set: Energy Recharge +20%.

4-Piece Set: When dealing Elemental DMG, gain the Gleaming Moon: Devotion effect for 8s: Increases all party members' Elemental Mastery by 60/120 when the party's Moonsign is Nascent Gleam/Ascendant Gleam. The equipping character can trigger this effect while off-field. All party members' Lunar Reaction DMG is increased by 10% for each different Gleaming Moon effect that party members have. Effects from Gleaming Moon cannot stack.

A strong alternative for Aino that provides a teamwide Elemental Mastery buff with more convenient uptime.
Deepwood Memories

Deepwood Memories

2-Piece Set: Dendro DMG Bonus +15%.

4-Piece Set: After Elemental Skills or Bursts hit opponents, the targets' Dendro RES will be decreased by 30% for 8s. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is not on the field.

Fantastic set Aino can use in Lunar-Bloom teams if no one else on the team is using it.
Noblesse Oblige

Noblesse Oblige

2-Piece Set: Elemental Burst DMG +20%

4-Piece Set: Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.

If someone else on the team is already using Silken Moon's Serenade this is another good set Aino can use, if your team has a lot of ATK scaling damage.

Aino's Stat Priority

Sands of Eon: Elemental Mastery / Energy Recharge
Goblet of Eonothem: Elemental Mastery
Circlet of Logos: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Substats: CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG > Elemental Mastery > Energy Recharge

Aino's own talent damage is very low, so it's best to build Elemental Mastery to increase her contribution to the Lunar Reaction damage. Since she usually gets a lot of Energy from her weapon, an Energy Recharge Sands is not needed. However, there's very little loss in not using an Elemental Mastery Sands, so you can use Energy Recharge instead if you want even more comfortable Energy.

Recommended Stats for Aino

Build recommendations assume a "decently built" level of artifact rolls alongside Favonius Greatsword. Using other weapons may increase or decrease certain stats relative to these recommendations.

HP: 16,500-19,000
ATK: 1050-1200
CRIT Rate: 60-75%
CRIT DMG: 115-140%

Stats shown reflect what you would see on the stat screen, before any external buffs are applied.

Aino's Talent Priority

Talent Priority: Precision Hydronic Cooler > Musecatcher >>> Bish-Bash-Bosh Repair

Aino's talents deal low damage and her buffs do not scale off them, so you can leave her talents unleveled and not miss out on much. But if you do level them, the Elemental Burst should be prioritized.

Aino's Best Constellations

Aino's best Constellations are her C1 and C6, as they give her some decent buffing for Lunar Reactions. C2 can also be useful, as it gives her some additional Hydro application. C4 gives more Energy refund, but she generally doesn't have issues casting her Elemental Burst anyway.

Investment Priority: Constellation 1 > Constellation 2
Constellation % of C0 % From Previous Constellation
C0 100.00% 100.00%
C1 103.04% 103.04%
C2 103.19% 100.14%
C3 103.25% 100.06%
C4 103.25% 100.00%
C5 103.28% 100.04%
C6 110.09% 106.59%
