Lauma Strengths and Weaknesses
Powerful off-field Bloom support with good off-field elemental application and decent damage.
Provides both a Hydro and Dendro RES Shred.
Can allow Bloom-based reactions to crit. Something previously only available with Nahida's C2.
Strong Lunar-Bloom buffs which should only increase in value over time.
No character fully utilises Lauma currently.
You lose the ability for Bloom-based reactions to crit if you use multiple Nod-Krai characters.
Healing is entirely locked behind C1 which provides a very significant change to team-building.
Lauma Build Guide, Best Artifacts, Weapons and Talent Priority
Lauma is best built as a supportive SubDPS unit for Bloom-based elemental reactions.

Lauma's best weapon is her signature Nightweaver's Looking Glass however the event catalyst Etherlight Spindlelute is extremely competitive with it providing both EM and ER. Other options include the available 5-Star EM catalysts as well as the new Nod-Krai craftable Blackmarrow Lantern.
Lauma's best artifact build can be a bit complicated as it heavily depends on your team composition. As a general rule, Deepwood Memories should be built if Lauma is the only Dendro unit (or no one else is using it). Aside from that, Silken Moon's Serenade tends to be your next best bet.
As for main and substats, build Lauma with primarily Elemental Mastery although you may need an Energy Recharge sands depending on your weapon and team composition. While CRIT can be more beneficial in Spread teams.
Lauma mainly wants to be built with full Elemental Mastery for main stats, but does benefit from CRIT and some Energy Recharge.
Recommended Endgame Build Stats for Lauma
Build recommendations assume a "decently built" level of artifact rolls alongside Lauma's best weapon. Using other weapons may increase or decrease certain stats relative to these recommendations.
- HP: 17,000 - 19,000
- ATK: 1150 - 1300
- Energy Recharge: 130 - 210%
- Elemental Mastery: 1000+
Building Crit is simply an added benefit. If your choosing between an EM or CRIT roll, then always go EM. Lauma's Energy Recharge requirements heavily depend on how many Dendro characters are in the team as well as your rotation.
Combos and How to Play Lauma
Lauma is a Dendro Sub DPS with buffing utility that provides buffs to Bloom-based reactions by turning them into Lunar-Bloom. Lauma has a range of buffs she provides, these are:
- 25% (Lv10) Dendro & Hydro RES with her Skill.
- Increase Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon and Lunar-Bloom DMG using her Elemental Skill.
- Allow Bloom, Hyperbloom and Burgeon to crit with Moonsign: Nascent Gleam.
- Allow Lunar-Bloom CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG increase for all party members with Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam.
- Self-Buffs Elemental Skill DMG by 32% at 800EM.
- Buffs Lunar-Bloom's Base DMG by 14% at 800EM.
To gain all these buffs, Lauma focuses on 3 confusing sounding stacks called Verdant Dew, Moon Song and Pale Hymn.
Verdant Dew, Moon Song and Pale Hymn Stacks
While Lauma features several confusing types of stacking mechanics, once you get the hang of what they mean they are actually simple to understand. The first one being Verdant Dew.
Verdant Dew are the 3 crescent moons you see on the right below your other team members. These generate over time every 2.5s whenever Lunar-Bloom is taking place. They also queue meaning that if one Verdant Dew is being built up, the next one will start generating straight after. Verdant Dew stacks are used by your Hold Runo: Dawnless Rest of Karsikko to make it do more damage. They are then automatically converted into Moon Song.
Moon Song essentially does nothing. It's sole purpose is that it converts into Pale Hymn when you use Runo: All Hearts Become the Beating Moon.
18 Pale Hymn stacks are generated with Lauma's Elemental Burst, and then an extra 6 for each Moon Song(Verdant Dew's spent). Pale Hymn stacks are spent whenever Bloom-based reactions take place to provide a damage buff.
Moon Song is converted into Pale Hymn whenever available during the duration. So it does not matter if Lauma Burst > Skill or Skill > Burst.
Some of Lauma's Utility Depends On Her Moonsign
Lauma has 2 different Moonsign effects which can significantly impact teambuilding due to it requiring a set number of Nod-Krai characters. Moonsign: Nascent Gleam triggers when only Lauma is in the party and allows Bloom, Hyperbloom and Burgeon to CRIT while having another Nod-Krai party member creates Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam instead which creates buffs for your parties Lunar-Bloom DMG.
Lauma's Best Team Comps
Lauma has 2 very important considerations with regards to team compositions. The first is that playing Lauma with other Nod-Krai characters changes the effects of Light for the Frosty Night. The other consideration is that her C1, "O Lips, Weave Me Songs and Psalms" allows you to not run a healer in teams. This allows changes such as Raiden Shogun in Hyperbloom, building more EM for Sangonomiya Kokomi or even using Nahida instead of Baizhu.
Nilou Bloom Teams With Lauma
Nilou | Sub DPS | Sub DPS | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Nilou | Lauma | Nahida | Sangonomiya Kokomi |
Nilou | Lauma | Aino | Baizhu |
Nilou | Sub DPS | Sub DPS | Sub DPS |
Nilou | Lauma | Kaveh | Xingqiu |
With Nilou Bloom teams, your main character is of course Nilou. She needs exclusively Dendro and Hydro to be able to create her enhanced Dendro cores. This is perfect for Lauma who decreases the RES of Hydro and Dendro. Nilou Bloom teams tend to be more AoE friendly but Bloom ownership can be difficult to track.
Hyperbloom Teams Using Lauma
Driver | Sub DPS | Sub DPS | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Lauma | Xingqiu | Yelan | Kuki Shinobu |
Alhaitham | Lauma | Furina | Kuki Shinobu |
Neuvillette | Lauma | Ineffa | Furina |
Lauma is the perfect upgrade to your traditional Hyperbloom team, Lauma is often able to act is the sole source of Dendro application in these teams.
Other Lauma Team Compositions
Main DPS | Sub DPS | Sub DPS | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Alhaitham | Lauma | Nahida | Ineffa |
Cyno | Lauma | Xingqiu | Ineffa |
Clorinde | Lauma | Yelan | Ineffa |
Lauma | Sangonomiya Kokomi | Xingqiu | Thoma |
Some other examples of team compositions you can use Lauma in. For example a Spread team with Alhaitham, quickbloom with Cyno or Clorinde and even a Burgeon team composition using Thoma.

Lauma's Talents
Type | Talent Name | Brief Explanation |
---|---|---|
Normal | Peregrination of Linnunrata | Normal Attack Performs up to 3 attacks that deal Dendro DMG Charged Attack Lauma undergoes Spirit Envoy Metamorphosis, transforming into an envoy of the tranquil forest and consuming Stamina to charge forward for up to 10s. While in this state, Lauma's interruption resistance is increased, and she can consume additional Stamina to perform up to two consecutive jumps. When exiting the Spirit Envoy state, Spirit Envoy Metamorphosis will enter cooldown, during which time, Lauma's Charged Attack will be transformed into Spiritcall Prayer: Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to deal AoE Dendro DMG to opponents in front of her after a short casting time. Plunging Attack Calling upon the might of Dendro, Lauma plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path and dealing AoE Dendro DMG upon impact with the ground. |
Elemental Skill | Runo: Dawnless Rest of Karsikko | Silently incants an ancient hymn, summoning a Frostgrove Sanctuary with different effects depending on whether you Tap or Hold. Tap Intone a Hymn of Hunting, dealing AoE Dendro DMG. Hold Can be unleashed when you have at least 1 Verdant Dew. Lauma consumes all Verdant Dew and intones a Hymn of Eternal Rest, dealing one regular instance of AoE Dendro DMG and another instance of AoE Dendro DMG that is considered Lunar-Bloom DMG. Each Verdant Dew consumed will give Lauma one stack of Moon Song. Each time you Hold to cast an Elemental Skill, a maximum of 3 Verdant Dew can be consumed in this way. Additionally, when Lauma's Elemental Skill or attacks from Frostgrove Sanctuary hit an opponent, that opponent's Dendro RES and Hydro RES will be decreased for 10s. |
Elemental Burst | Runo: All Hearts Become the Beating Moon | Let the wishes of all beings become as moonlight that bathes the earth. Lauma incants a sacred song of the far north, gaining 18 stacks of Pale Hymn. Additionally, if Lauma uses her Elemental Burst while she has Moon Song, or she gains Moon Song within 15s of using her Elemental Burst, she will consume all Moon Song stacks and gain 6 stacks of Pale Hymn for every Moon Song stack consumed. This effect can only be triggered once for each Elemental Burst used, including the 15 seconds following its use. Pale Hymn When nearby party members deal Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, or Lunar-Bloom DMG, 1 stack of Pale Hymn will be consumed and the DMG dealt will be increased based on Lauma's Elemental Mastery. If this DMG hits multiple opponents at once, then multiple stacks of Pale Hymn will be consumed, depending on how many opponents are hit. The duration for each stack of Pale Hymn is counted independently. |

Lauma's Constellations
Lauma has some great Constellations, Her C1 "O Lips, Weave Me Songs and Psalms", allows Lauma to have incredibly effective healing. While this constellation does not provide any direct damage increases, it instead allows you to drop a sustain out of your team instead. Therefore, results may vary. Aside from that, Lauma's C2 "Twine Warnings and Tales From the North" is a great power spike that should only increase in value as more Nod-Krai characters are released.
# | Name | Explanation |
---|---|---|
C1 | "O Lips, Weave Me Songs and Psalms" | After Lauma uses her Elemental Skill Runo: Dawnless Rest of Karsikko or her Elemental Burst Runo: All Hearts Become the Beating Moon, she will gain Threads of Life for 20s. During this time, when nearby party members trigger Lunar-Bloom reactions, nearby active characters will recover HP equal to 500% of Lauma's Elemental Mastery. This effect can be triggered once every 1.9s. Additionally, the Stamina cost for Lauma's Spirit Envoy Form will be reduced by 40%, and its Max Duration will be extended by 5s. |
C2 | "Twine Warnings and Tales From the North" | The Elemental Burst Runo: All Hearts Become the Beating Moon is enhanced: · Pale Hymn effects are increased: All nearby party members' Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon DMG is further increased by 500% of Lauma's Elemental Mastery, and their Lunar-Bloom DMG is further increased by 400% of Lauma's Elemental Mastery. Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: All nearby party members' Lunar-Bloom DMG is increased by 40%. |
C3 | "Seek Not to Tread the Sly Fox's Path" | Increases the Level of Runo: All Hearts Become the Beating Moon by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
C4 | "Nor Yearn for the Great Bear's Might" | When attacks from the Frostgrove Sanctuary summoned by her Elemental Skill Runo: Dawnless Rest of Karsikko hit opponents, Lauma will regain 4 Elemental Energy. This effect can be triggered once every 5s. |
C5 | "If Truth May Be Subject to Witness" | Increases the Level of Runo: Dawnless Rest of Karsikko by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
C6 | "I Offer Blood and Tears to the Moonlight" | When the Frostgrove Sanctuary attacks opponents, it will deal 1 additional instance of AoE Dendro DMG equal to 185% of Lauma's Elemental Mastery. This DMG is considered Lunar-Bloom DMG. This instance of DMG will not consume any Pale Hymn stacks and will provide Lauma with 2 stacks of Pale Hymn, as well as refreshing the duration of Pale Hymn stacks gained in this manner. This effect can occur up to 8 times during each Frostgrove Sanctuary. When using the Elemental Skill Runo: Dawnless Rest of Karsikko, all Pale Hymn stacks gained in this manner will be removed. Additionally, when Lauma uses a Normal Attack while she has Pale Hymn stacks, she will consume 1 stack to convert this to deal Dendro DMG equal to 150% of her Elemental Mastery. This DMG is considered Lunar-Bloom DMG. Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: All nearby party members' Lunar-Bloom DMG is elevated by 25%. |
