Is Lauma a Must-Pull in Genshin Impact? She Might Be Essential!

HoYoverse has dropped the official character trailer for Lauma, giving Travelers one last beautiful look at her personality, themes, and role before she releases in the upcoming Genshin Impact Luna I update!

The trailer, titled “Compassion and Discipline“, shows Lauma as a calm, wonderful, and strong figure tied deeply to the nature and animals. In Nod-Krai, some people worship gunpowder and steel, but Lauma is all about the power of forests and beasts. She is the sort of protector who keeps things balanced. She is kind when she needs to be, but does not mess around when nature is in danger.

This trailer also lines up with Genshin’s Version “Luna I” – A Dance of Snowy Tides and Hoarfrost Groves, that will launch tomorrow and takes us to the new region of Nod-Krai. With Lauma starting alongside the patch, Travelers will finally get to see her abilities and try out her gameplay from day one!

Should You Pull Lauma in Genshin Impact?

With Version Luna I launching tomorrow, Lauma will finally be playable, and her kit makes her extremely valuable for DendroHydro teams, especially if you are planning to pull for Nefer.

Why she is strong:

  • Elemental Skill – Directly amplifies the damage output of Hydro/Dendro teammates, making her almost essential for reaction-heavy compositions.
  • Elemental Burst – Stacks of Pale Hymn boost Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, and Lunar-Bloom damage based on her Elemental Mastery. This turns Lauma into a massive party-wide buffer, especially in teams centered on Lunar-Bloom.
  • Ascension Passives – Provide CRIT boosts for nearby allies and convert Bloom into Lunar-Bloom, further increasing the potency of Dendro/Hydro reactions.
  • Charged/Normal Attacks: Her Spirit Envoy Metamorphosis gives mobility and AoE Dendro damage, letting her contribute directly to both exploration and combat.

Team impact:

  • Nefer synergy: Lauma’s ability to reduce Dendro/Hydro resistance and boost Lunar-Bloom damage makes her almost a must-have for getting Nefer’s kit to perform optimally.
  • Dendro/Hydro teams: Any team that relies on Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, or Lunar-Bloom will see immediate benefits from having her on the field.

One thing is sure, if you main Dendro or Hydro DPS, or if you are targeting Nefer, Lauma is going to be a must-pull character in Luna I!
