A new Genshin Impact leak is raising questions about how long Version 6.x will really last, but not everyone is convinced.
According to recent information circulating in the community, the current “Luna” patch cycle could end earlier than expected. Instead of the usual extended versions that drag things on, the game may jump straight from Version 6.7 (Luna VIII) to 7.0, skipping patches like 6.8 and 6.9 entirely.
If true, that would make Version 6.7 the final stop before the long-awaited move to Snezhnaya.
Will Sandrone Lead Us Into Snezhnaya?
On paper, the idea is not completely out of nowhere. Some players point out that Version 6.7 is already rumored to introduce Sandrone, a character that we know is supposed to lead the Traveler into Snezhnaya. That kind of “bridge” release, introducing mechanics or story elements linked to the next region, would fit how HoYoverse has handled transitions in the past.
There is also speculation around new reaction systems, with mentions of a so-called “Stellar” mechanic that came up in beta discussions. For some, that reinforces the idea that 6.7 could serve as a sort of setup patch for what comes next.
Some Players Are Not Convinced
A lot of players are quick to point out that “no x.8 patch” leaks have been circulating for years, and almost always end up being wrong. Others note that version numbering changes, like the current “Luna” naming, make it harder to rely on old patterns in the first place.
There is also a more practical concern that skipping a late-cycle patch would shorten the usual downtime players rely on to save resources before a new region, something that has not gone unnoticed.
For now, this remains just a small leak, so take it with a grain of salt. Version 6.7 may or may not mark the end of the Luna cycle, but things will likely become clearer once the next beta and livestream details start to reveal more!
