Arch-Tempered Uth Duna Release Time
Arch-tempered Uth Duna officially released at the following times:
- Wednesday, July 23, 2025, 9:00 a.m. (JST)
- Wednesday, July 23, 2025, 12:00 a.m. (UTC)
As of this Title Update, the developers heard your feedback and made Arch-tempered monsters permanently available. This includes Arch-tempered Rey Dau, Uth Duna, and future Arch-tempered releases, so you can hunt at your leisure!
After defeating Arch-tempered Uth Duna, you can craft new Uth Duna γ (Gamma) equipment for yourself and your Palico! If you’re curious about whether the new equipment is useful, check out our recommended weapon builds on Icy Veins!
How to Unlock Arch-Tempered Uth Duna
To unlock Arch-tempered Uth Duna, you must reach Hunter Rank 50 or above. In addition, its free Challenge Quest is available after unlocking Challenge Quests in the Grand Hub.
If you’re uncomfortable with the hunt just yet, fight the normal Uth Duna first to learn its moveset, strengths, and weaknesses. Try out some new weapons to see what works for you!
Remember, if you want its Gamma equipment, you’ll need to hunt down Arch-tempered Uth Duna eventually!
How to Defeat Arch-Tempered Uth Duna
Arch-tempered monsters share many similarities with their normal versions. This includes not only their moveset, but also their strengths and weaknesses.
For Arch-tempered Uth Duna, prepare the best Thunder-element weapons and Water-resistance equipment! You can also take advantage of most status ailments, with Stun being the least effective. Definitely avoid Screamer Pods!
However, beware of using any Water-element weapons! Arch-tempered Uth Duna is highly resistant to them, if you have one equipped, be sure to switch it out before starting the hunt! Definitely aim for its forelegs with either severing or blunt attacks whenever possible.
