Capcom is listening, and big changes are coming to Monster Hunter Wilds!
In a recent Guild Report posted on the official Monster Hunter Twitter/X account, the team confirmed that Arch-Tempered monsters will become permanently available, starting with two beasts: Rey Dau and Uth Duna.
No More Time Limits for Arch-Tempered Hunts
Until now, Arch-Tempered monsters, extra challenging versions of existing monsters, were only available during limited-time event quests. This understandably frustrated players who missed out or joined the game late.
But starting July 23, that is about to change:
- Arch-Tempered Rey Dau returns with the Festival of Accord: Flamefete and will remain permanently available from that date onward.
- The current limited-time quest will still end on July 16, so expect a brief gap before the permanent version drops.
- Arch-Tempered Uth Duna was originally planned for later but will now also go permanently live on July 23, a week earlier than expected.
More Permanent Quests Are Being Considered
Capcom also revealed that they are considering making all future Arch-Tempered and other event quests permanent as well. Details are still being worked out, but the team promises to share more updates once the plan is finalized.
A Welcome Change for Completionists and Casuals Alike
Regardless if you are chasing titles, crafting that final piece of armor, or just enjoy the thrill of a tough fight, this change is a huge quality-of-life improvement. No more worrying about missing event windows! You will be able to take on these apex predators at your own pace.
Capcom ended their post with a reminder that they are committed to listening to community feedback and evolving Monster Hunter Wilds over time.
Arch-Tempered Rey Dau and Uth Duna will be permanently huntable starting July 23. More monsters could follow. Stay sharp, hunters!
