If you’re an active PvP player in New World: Aeternum, it would be no surprise to encounter either a Greatsword user with the new Crescent’s Wave artifact or a Void Gauntlet user that constantly abusing its self-healing abilities. After several weeks of complaining, it looks like an upcoming patch is coming to New World: Aeternum to help balance these situations.

The upcoming maintenance (scheduled for September 3, 2025) will include the following updates:

  • Fixed an issue that allowed enemy players to enter the war camp.
  • Fixed an issue with cooldowns for Rending Throw.
  • Crescent Wave Artifact: Increased projectile damage from 150% to 165%.
  • Crescent Wave Artifact: Increased how much the melee heavy damage was reduced by from 50% to 80%.
  • Void Blade: Reduced void blade light attack damage from 95% to 85% and from 145% to 135%.
  • Players now drop the flag when they initiate Unstuck.
  • Fixed a speed exploit related to Spear.
  • Vegetation has been removed from some Summer Medleyfaire stages

The Future of Crescent’s Wave & Void Blade Users

Although there is a minor nerf coming to both of these types of builds, it’s very likely that both of these will still be very powerful (and usable) when it comes to PvP game modes.
