Street Racing and Japan, name a better combo.

Forza Horizon 6 is already proving to be a huge success. Just days after launch, the game has now surpassed 300,000 concurrent players on Steam, absolutely destroying the previous record set by Forza Horizon 5.

For comparison, Forza Horizon 5’s all-time Steam peak was only around 81,000, so that is not even close.

Japan Was Clearly the Right Choice

A huge part of the hype likely comes from the game finally taking us to Japan, something everyone had been asking for since basically the beginning of the franchise. And street racing and Japan were always going to be a pretty cool combination.

A Huge Win for Xbox and Playground Games

The big Steam numbers are especially amazing because Forza Horizon 6 is also available through Xbox platforms and Game Pass. This means the actual player count across all platforms is likely far higher than the Steam numbers alone suggest.

At this point, it is looking like Playground Games may have delivered the biggest launch in Horizon history.

And based on the current player reaction, fans are clearly more than ready for another trip through Japan’s street racing scene.
