Marvel Rivals Season 4 has just been unveiled, and along with the newest heroes, Angela and Daredevil, we are getting a few new team-ups and balance changes arriving on September 12th.
New Marvel Rivals Season 4 Teamups
For starters, Magik and Black Panther’s team-up is being removed entirely, and they are being added to preexisting team-ups. These new team-ups include:
- Thor + Angela
- Magik + Dr Strange
- Black Panther + Hulk
Angela is a new anchor for Thor, granting him the ability to throw one of her spears. This spear restores Thorforce on hit and allows him to leap to it.
Magik joins the Dr Strange team-up, allowing her to use the new Chain of Cyttorak. This chain binds and links two enemies together and slows them based on how far they were initially apart.
Lastly, Black Panther joins the Hulk team-up. Hulk now gives BP a gamma shield whenever Black Panther’s HP gets low.
Season 4 Balance Changes
While we don’t have a precise list yet of all of the upcoming changes, we do know what heroes are being buffed and nerfed. Here are the balance changes we know so far for Season 4:

- Dr. Strange (boost to offensive power)
- Scarlet Witch
- Blade
- Moon Knight
- Invisible Woman (ult buff)
- Jeff the Landshark (ult buff)
- Ultron (ult buff)
NERFS
- Emma Frost
- Captain America
- Squirrel Girl (long-range poke nerf)
- Black Panther (survivability nerf)
- Psylocke (burst damage nerf)
- Luna Snow (ult duration shortened)
- Loki (damage and healing nerf)
Angela Joins the Vanguard Roster
At the start of Marvel Rivals Season 4, Angela will be joining the roster of Vanguards. Her official description reads: “Angela can take the fight to the skies, transforming her Ichors into a razor-sharp spear. She dives into enemy lines, creating openings for her team. In times of danger, she can morph her weapon into a shield to block incoming damage. When the moment is right, she descends from above, transforming her spear into dual axes to crush foes and protect her allies!”
From this description, we can infer that Angela may fit the “diver” archetype, or she might be a jack-of-all-trades tank, as her abilities suggest she can switch between a spear, a shield, and twin axes. While we do not have official gameplay footage of her kit yet, it seems likely that she will be able to swap weapons, similar to how Punisher can. However, perhaps her abilities trigger her weapon swaps, allowing her to do crowd control or dashing first, causing her to swap weapons.
