One of the biggest surprises from the latest State of Play was another look at Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, and this time, Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog finally revealed when we will be able to join Lara Croft on her next adventure.
The game launches on February 12, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and even Nintendo Switch 2, making it a fully multiplatform release rather than a PlayStation exclusive.
A Modern Reimagining of Lara’s First Adventure
Legacy of Atlantis is described as a complete reimagining of Lara Croft’s original 1996 adventure. Rather than simply recreating the classic game, the developers have rebuilt it with modern visuals, updated gameplay systems, expanded environments, and additional story content designed to connect Lara’s first expedition to the adventures that follow later in the timeline.
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the game takes players across a few iconic locations, including Peru, Greece, Egypt, and a mysterious island linked to the legendary lost city of Atlantis.

Crystal Dynamics says the game is not a simple remake of the original game. A lot of areas have been reworked and expanded, with locations that used to be fairly straightforward now offering more room to explore and a few extra secrets to uncover.
The same goes for the puzzles. Familiar challenges from the 1996 game are still there, but many have been rebuilt rather than copied directly, giving returning players something new to figure out instead of simply remembering the solution.

Crystal Dynamics specifically mentioned the famous cog puzzle, explaining that returning challenges have been redesigned to feel even better, but they tried to preserve the spirit of the original adventure.

That approach makes Legacy of Atlantis feel less like a traditional remake, but it still keeps the base adventure that introduced Lara Croft nearly three decades ago.
Deluxe Edition Includes Early Access
Pre-orders are now live for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders will be available only at a later date, but do not worry, the game will release at the same time on Switch as well. Crystal Dynamics says the game has been fully optimized for Nintendo’s new hardware, allowing you to experience the full adventure both at home and on the go.
The Standard Edition costs €59.99 and includes:
- Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
- Survivor Outfit pre-order bonus

If you purchase the Deluxe Edition for €69.99, you will also receive:
- 48-hour early access
- Parisian Fugitive Outfit
- Post-launch DLC Story Pack

Collector’s Edition Revealed
For longtime Tomb Raider fans, a physical Collector’s Edition is also on the way, and the figurine you get with it is definitely worth it! It includes everything from the Deluxe Edition, alongside a few additional physical collectibles:
- Premium Steel Case
- Lara Croft vs. T-Rex Statue
- Mini Art Book
- Croft Signet Pin
- Triumvirate Talisman Keychain

No official price has been announced yet, and pre-orders for the Collector’s Edition are expected to open only later. However, you can probably expect the usual price that collectors have today, so from 150 to over 200 euros.
With the release date being set now, Tomb Raider fans finally have something to look forward to. Between the expanded interpretation of the original game, modernized gameplay systems, and a surprisingly impressive Collector’s Edition, Legacy of Atlantis is one of the most anticipated action-adventure releases of early 2027!
