A bad pull, an unfamiliar cave, or an unexpected respawn: Death in Hardcore is just one moment of overconfidence away.
Players can now re-experience these precious moments through Deathmap, a community-built website that tracks over 1.4 million Classic death records.
Azeroth’s Searchable Graveyard
For Hardcore fans, the death of other players is a fascinating thing. You tend to learn from the mistakes of others, but at the same time you try to replicate the ultimate and final Hardcore experience.

Deathmap offers an interactive way to satisfy this fascination: Explore familiar zones, examine clusters of death traps, or browse dungeon heatmaps. The site also features class, level, and realm filters.
Detailed Death Recaps
This example death recap shows how Deathmap shows more than just a map marker and, where sufficient data is available, instead tells a whole story of how a character’s run has ended. You can find a full description of the website and discussion around its features in this Reddit thread. Have fun looking around for your or your friends’ fallen characters!
