Campfires have a brand new use in WoW Forever with the introduction of the Camping System. But of course, it didn’t take players long to find a way to turn this wholesome community experience into something more sinister.
Some players have been spawning in their campfires on the exact spot that fresh players spawn in. By the time the intro cinematic has played out, your shiny new character is nothing more than a pile of smoldering bones on the floor with one death on the tally.
Thankfully, Hardcore has not yet launched (and won’t do until after the official release in November), else that would have been a remarkably short journey!
Of course, issues like this are exactly what Beta testing is designed to fix. Blizzard have pushed some minor hotfixes to adjust various Camping buff mechanics, however no permanent no-build zones have been activated for spawn locations yet. This issue will likely be fixed before the 4th November launch.
For now, you’d better skip that intro cinematic!
