3 WoW Mounts Drop to 1% When Midnight Launches — One Leaves for Good

With two weeks to go until the release of Midnight, there’s a few mounts that will no longer be guaranteed to dropped and will become very rare. The Ascendant Skyrazor iconAscendant Skyrazor, Keys to the Big G iconKeys to the Big G, and Unbound Star-Eater iconUnbound Star-Eater.

The Royal Voidwing iconRoyal Voidwing will be leaving for good too.

The mounts drop from each of the last bosses on Mythic difficulty, but are only given to three players in the raid. The Voidwing is earned by turning in a quest after killing Dimensius on heroic.

With the raids being easier than ever since pre-patch, players are pugging their way to the last bosses on Mythic to try and get a mount for themselves.

Nerub’ar Palace

Queen Ansurek is the last boss of Nerub’ar Palace, and drops the Reins of the Ascendant Skyrazor iconReins of the Ascendant Skyrazor. There’s a small chance as well for her to drop Reins of the Sureki Skyrazor iconReins of the Sureki Skyrazor.

Her fight isn’t too complicated in pre-patch. Phase 2 is the biggest hurdle managing the Shadowgate iconShadowgate mechanic, on top of not getting pulled/knocked off by the adds or her.

If you’re in a group with a skip. You’ll have to get through Ulgrax the Devourer, The Bloodbound Horror, and the Silken Court (Anub’arash and Skeinspinner Takazj).

Liberation of Undermine

Chrome King Gallywix is the final boss of Liberation of Undermine, and he drops the iconic Keys to the Big G iconKeys to the Big G.

This fight still requires some mechanical precision, as there’s no phasing him out of P1, but the pre-patch has made the damage much more forgiving.

With a skip, you’ll only need to do two other bosses. Vexie Fullthrottle and Mug’Zee.

Manaforge Omega

Dimensius is the final boss of Manaforge Omega, and drops the Unbound Star-Eater iconUnbound Star-Eater mount from Mythic difficulty.

He also drops the Royal Voidwing iconRoyal Voidwing mount if you kill him on heroic, which is going away with the launch of Midnight.

Dimensius is still quite a challenge for players who haven’t done the fight on Mythic. You’ll want gear probably around the 155+ item level.

The damage check on this boss doesn’t matter if you’re well geared, but mechanics in both P1 and P2 still need to be done. Properly dealing with Devour iconDevour, Antimatter iconAntimatter and the knockback in P1 are still very much needed to survive. The phase is shorter, but still deadly.

Extinction iconExtinction, Gamma Burst iconGamma Burst, killing the correct Voidwardens and controlling the Nullbinders with CCs and grips are crucial to surviving P2. The damage check is much easier, but still needs to be executed.

Hitting Phase 3 however with most players will be enough to kill the boss and (hopefully) get your new mount!

Using the skip raid skip will mean you’ll only have to deal with Nexus-King Salhadaar.

This mount will be leaving for good at the start of Midnight.

Good luck grabbing those mounts!
