It’s an interesting week in the logs, as we see a very static situation – except at the very top! The raid has been taken over by last season’s runner-up, while the dungeons are more stable but also have a rising star to look out for.
Retail and Remix Spec and Group Popularity, Week 17
Note: We are using normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.
Mythic
Overall Damage 95th Percentile
We have an unexpected coup here in week 18 of the Manaforge! Marksmanship’s slow and steady rise over the last weeks has brought it to the very top, dethroning Elemental! The spec that was basically tied for first in the last tier is in the lead once again at the end of the season, with a tiny buffer between it and 2nd to boot. After that big shakeup, we have to go to just outside the top 10 for any movement whatsoever, where Balance dropped a couple of spots and let Unholy and Subtlety through. It’s a bad week for Shamans all over, as Enhancement also sees a drop, but at the other end of the spectrum, diving down into the bottom 3.
Overall Damage All Percentiles
The generalist bracket is tougher to move, but Marksmanship is making inroads here as well. It rises two spots into 5th, slowly making its way to the top. The only other movement to be seen anywhere on the chart is Affliction’s rise down in 18th, as the Warlock gains two spots.
Boss Only Damage All Percentiles
Surprisingly, Balance actually rises here, taking 3rd away from Fire.

Mythic+ DPS Logs
95th percentile DPS
Arcane is the top mover in the top 10, taking down Subtlety and claiming 6th. It’s a bad week for Rogues in the dungeons, as Outlaw drops out of the top 2, losing two spots and letting Retribution in! Assassination is also down, dropping into the bottom 3, sandwiched between Arms and the ever-last Frost Mage.
All Percentiles
We have an almost fully static top 10 here, with the final spot seeing the only movement, but it’s also a big chunk! Augmentation makes a chunky six-spot leap into 10th, as the Evoker gets some play late in the season.
Individual Keys
We’re adding in +18s, as that will be the new maximum Great Vault slot in Midnight.

Very High Key Raw DPS Numbers
Note: We’re also taking a look at the raw damage numbers from Mythicstats. They take the top runs for extremely high keys (+14-22) from WarcraftLogs and list the overall DPS for the dungeon, which includes non-combat time as well. They’re ranked by the average DPS numbers, with the very top of the top shown next to it.
In the uber-high rankings, we see Beast Mastery move up a notch into 2nd, with Retribution and Marksmanship bringing up the rear in the top 10, both moving one spot up.
For even more in-depth data for each individual key, head on over to Warcraft Logs. If you’re interested in more info on the specs themselves, you can always check out our class guides or our Season 3 tier lists!
