Midnight’s Hidden Zone

We’ve all reached the same point. The campaign in Zul’Aman is finished, and you’re standing on the broken bridge, staring across the water wondering at the large chunk of undiscovered land.

You mount up. Fly across the water. And get swiftly teleported right back where you came from. So, what is Blizzard hiding over there?

Atal’Utek.

Until now, we’ve known very little about this zone—rumoured to be coming with Patch 12.1. That was until creator Rextroy found a way to sneak onto the island.

Atal’Utek – But How?

Using a Demon Hunter for abilities such as Infernal Leap iconInfernal Leap and Glide iconGlide, Rextroy entered the new Windrunner Spire dungeon. Leaping across the edge of the platform and ‘leaving’ the dungeon teleports you into an instanced version of Eastern Kingdoms.

From here, Rextroy ran to Zul’Aman, and using Inflatable Mount Shoes iconInflatable Mount Shoes and Stinky Bright Potion iconStinky Bright Potions, managed to set foot on Atal’Utek—the hidden island across the water.

Here, Rextroy found a troll island with green waterfalls and thick, toxic clouds. Is it poison or could it be fel? We’re unsure yet. To see what else Rextroy discovered, check out his YouTube video below:

Whilst we have no concrete knowledge about Atal’Utek yet, Rextroy gives an exciting insight into what we could expect from future patches. Could this be where we first find Labyrinths? Or could this be the home to a future Troll-themed raid?

With rumours of Princess Talanji’s return with Zandalari reinforcement, this zone could shape up to be very exciting indeed.
