It’s pretty much confirmed now that 
Reins of the Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur will return at some point during the Midnight expansion.
First and Second Hints
In last week’s Midnight Alpha build, Blizzard added a new entry to the InterfaceManifestationData DBC file called CatalogShopWideCardBrutosaurComebackROW.BLP.
At that time, there was no actual file associated with that just yet, until this week! Here’s the BLP file associated with the mount found in the game files!
A Successful Experiment
Reins of the Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur was first added to the game on December 20, 2024. Players could buy the mount for $90. It features an Auction House and Mail, so you can imagine just how popular it was. The mount was later removed from the shop on January 6, 2025.
While the numbers are definitely not accurate, Blizzard could have made anywhere between $15-20 million just from this single mount when it was available in the shop.
