With World of Warcraft: Midnight, Blizzard is finally stitching one of Azeroth’s oldest seams. The barrier between Ghostlands and Eastern Plaguelands has finally fallen. For the first time, you can ride through the old Thalassian Pass with no loading screen or interruption.
Eversong Woods, Ghostlands, and the Isle of Quel’Danas will be merged into a single, expansive zone—Quel’Thalas—fully integrated into Eastern Kingdoms. The transition feels effortless as the dead, twisted trees of the Plaguelands slowly bloom into the crimson canopies of Silvermoon’s forests.
You can see the transition in action here, which showcases the flight path from Silvermoon to Eastern Plaguelands. Credit to Ylizur for the video.
Which older zones would you like to see Blizzard breathe new life into next?
