Big Class Fixes, Delve, Dungeon, and Raid Changes: Weekly Midnight 12.0.5 Hotfix Summary: April 27th – May 4th

Another week and another reset have gone by, and it was a very big one when it comes to horfixes. Blizzard pushed out a very large amount of class fixes in particular, after the rocky start to the patch. These are just the fixes that have gone live over the past week, with a massive class and raid tuning pass going live with this weekly reset as well, which you can check out here.

In addition to the many class fixes, there’s also Delve, dungeon and raid changes, item, Void Assault and quest improvements, and more.


Classes

  • Demon Hunter
    • Havoc
      • Fixed an issue that allowed Havoc to benefit from Vengeance’s Annihilator talent Meteoric Rise when using Collective Anguish in specific conditions.
    • Vengeance
      • Annihilator: Fixed an issue that caused Celestial Echoes to grant 5 additional Fury per Fracture instead of the intended 3 Fury.
  • Druid
    • Restoration
      • Fixed an issue where Blooming Infusion was counting each target of Nature’s Bounty or Rampant Growth as an additional cast.
  • Evoker
    • Flameshaper: Twin Flame will no longer bounce to enemy targets that the Evoker is not in combat with.
    • Fixed an issue where Titan’s Gift and Titanic Wrath were not increasing the damage of the final few ticks of Disintegrate for Preservation and Devastation Evokers.
    • Fixed an issue where Renewing Blaze would not always trigger its healing effect from certain attacks.
  • Mage
    • Frost
      • Fixed an issue causing some spells to be incorrectly locked during Party Sync.
      • Fixed an issue causing Hand of Frost Rank 2 to not provide the correct percent chance increase per stack of Shatter.
      • Fixed an issue that could cause Flurry to not benefit fully from the damage bonus of Brain Freeze, when a non-Brain-Freeze-affected Flurry was cast immediately afterwards.
      • Fixed an issue causing some Tracked Buffs for Frostfire to not display correctly.
      • Casting Mass Invisibility now correctly interrupts the Mage’s current spell.
  • Monk
    • Windwalker
      • Touch of Karma now shows as a large defensive buff on raid frames.
  • Paladin
    • Holy
      • Fixed an issue that caused Beacon of Light to sometimes not transfer healing from Holy Light or Flash of Light.
  • Rogue
    • Trickster: Cloud Cover’s visual effect is now only visible to the caster in all circumstances.
    • Assassination
      • Fixed a bug causing Deathmark to generate less Energy than intended.
      • Separated the tracked buffs for Implacable into two elements so they can be tracked separately with the Cooldown Manager.
        • Duration of increased Energy generation.
        • Amount of Energy regeneration you’ll receive when Envenom expires.
  • Shaman
    • Corrected an issue where the Jet Stream talent would not remove snare effects from allies who enter your Wind Rush Totem’s area.
    • Restoration
      • Corrected an issue where the initial healing from dropping a Stormstream Totem was not affected by Mastery: Deep Healing.
      • Farseer: Corrected an issue where summoned Ancestors would not cast Chain Heal when dropping Stormstream Totem.
      • Totemic: Corrected an issue where the effects of the Tidecaller’s Guard shield imbuement would be lost upon dying and resurrecting.
      • All damage dealt increased by approximately 12%.
      • Developers’ notes: Restoration shamans were intended to gain a 30% damage increase with the release of patch 12.0.5, but an error resulted in them gaining about half of that amount. This 12% increase brings them up to a total of +30% damage when compared to before patch 12.0.5.
  • Warlock
    • Affliction
      • Fixed an issue where the Abyssal Immolator 4-piece set bonus would not correctly increase the initial stack count of Agony by 2.
      • Fixed an issue where Unstable Affliction applied through Fatal Echoes would consume Shard Instability.
      • Fixed an issue where Fatal Echoes would consume a Soul Shard when activated.
      • Fixed an issue where Unstable Affliction would consume all stacks of Shard Instability.
      • Fixed an issue where Shared Agony would not function after casting a Curse.
      • Hellcaller: Fixed an issue where Xalan’s Cruelty would not increase the critical strike chance of Wrath of Nathreza.
      • Fixed an issue where periodic damage caused by Malefic Grasp is unaffected by Death’s Embrace.
      • Soul Harvester: Fixed an issue where consuming Nightfall with Malefic Grasp would not activate Wicked Reaping.
    • Demonology
      • Fixed an issue where Fel Armaments would reduce the cooldown of Felstorm by 20 seconds, rather than the intended 10 seconds.
  • Warrior
    • Arms
      • Slams from Fervor of Battle which critically strike will now correctly trigger Mortal Wounds.
      • Deep Wounds applied by Execute no longer deal double the intended damage.

Decor Duel

  • The Enchanted Hourglass now has a progress bar, and its timer is now better aligned with the toy’s duration.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent seekers from receiving participation credit.

Delves

  • The Darkway
    • Corrupted Leyline will no longer sometimes continue to cast Detected! after it’s out of range.
  • The Shadow Enclave
    • Fixed an issue where characters could lose the ability to strafe after picking up a mirror.

Dungeons and Raids

  • Algeth’ar Academy
    • Timer increased to 31 minutes (was 30 minutes).
  • Maisara Caverns
    • Muro’jin and Nekraxx
      • Coordinated Assault damage reduced by 30%, and now ignores armor.
  • March on Quel’Danas
    • Midnight Falls
      • Fixed an issue causing Druids to become untargetable after entering the Darkwell while shapeshifted.

Enemies and NPCs

  • Faithbreaker Ger’lok will now return to his ritual platform if he is pulled far away.

Housing

  • Players can again place non-default flooring, leave their House, and return to find the flooring where they placed it.
  • Fixed a bug where the neighborhood weekly quest “Lost Animals” could become unavailable to players who completed it previously.

Items

  • Fixed a bug preventing players from purchasing the Cache of Void-Touched Weapons before unlocking the Void-Touched Sunfury Poleaxe from any item.
  • Cosmic Hunter’s Glaive and Fangs of the Invader should now have Intellect for Devourer Demon Hunters.
  • Fixed a Great Vault display bug where the World Row indicated an item level of 272 for the Tier 5 Ritual Site, instead of the intended 269 item level.

Player versus Player

  • Demon Hunter
    • Fixed an issue that prevented the target throw effect from being available while using Illidan’s Grasp.
    • Havoc
      • Fixed an issue that caused Consume Magic to remove an additional Magic effect from the primary target when the Blood Moon PvP Talent was selected.
  • Warrior
    • Fixed an issue where Disarm was incorrectly sharing a diminishing return with root effects.

Professions

  • Cooking
    • Fixed an issue with Hearty Well Fed being refreshed by standard Well Fed foods.

Quests

  • Resolved an issue where players who completed the quest “The Legend of Aln’Sharan” could not gather them on alts without completing the quest first.

Reputation

  • Midnight World Quests now correctly award increased reputation while Sign of the Emissary is active.

Sound

  • Reduced the volume of the Gaze of the Alnseer sound effect.

User Interface

  • Resolved an issue with Action Bar items persisting when you enter a vehicle.

Void Assaults

  • Imperator Pertinax should no longer die easily during the Eversong Void Incursion.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent some players who were properly in combat with the Void-Corrupted creature from receiving credit toward the Cosmic Slayer achievement.

World

  • Fixed a rare bug that could cause players using DirectX 11 to see zone-wide graphical corruption.
