We’re taking a look at new added cosmetics in the Patch 12.1 PTR. One of the more overlooked pets are these cute costume cat battle pets! There are six of them, all of them coming from the Trading Post at this point in time.
Trading Post Costume Cat Battle Pets
First up, we have two cats dressed like Liches! 
Cat’Thuzad and Catsramas sport horned skull masks and lich cloaks. I wonder if Kel’Thuzad will get some ideas to dress Mr. Bigglesworth…
Our next two cats are getting inspiration straight from Uldum! 
Amewbis and Mewkahen are dressed like Ramkahen mummies, including the iconic back wings and wraps.
Lastly, if your Mage is looking for a new pet, why not pick ether 
Kirin Tor Cat or Kirin Tor Kitty? These are dressed in Kirin Tor-themed regalia!
When Can We Expect to See the New Pets in the Trading Post?
We have known the themes for all Trading Post months in 2026 since late last year. With this, it is possible to estimate when they are expected to appear.
As these Battle Pets are cats in costumes, the Costumed Calamity theme for October 2026 seems to be a safe bet for these cats to show up.
At this point in the Patch 12.1 development, all six pets are listed with Trading Post as their source. However, there is always a possibility that some of them are moved to the Hallow’s End event vendors. Most World Events are receiving revamps and new items this year, so this is definitely a possibility.
I am a dog person myself, but it is hard to not fall in love with these cats. Will you pick them for your collection, once they eventually show up?
