After delving with us for the first chapter of the Worldsoul Saga, Brann’s getting some long-awaited rest!
Blizzard confirmed in the Midnight official preview that the legendary Blood Elf Rogue Valeera Sanguinar will be our new companion, taking Brann’s place!
Original Plans Scrapped
When delves were first introduced, the plan was to have a different companion every season. However, Blizzard abandoned this idea and added a tank specialization to Brann. With a new expansion on the horizon, things are finally starting to move!
Who is Valeera Sanguinar?
Valeera Sanguinar fought alongside Varian Wrynn and Broll Bearmantle during some of the most important moments in Azeroth’s history. Though fiercely independent, she eventually took on the role of Varian’s personal advisor and bodyguard in Stormwind. Later, she became an enforcer for the New Council of Tirisfal, all while refusing to be tied down by any one faction. Check out the Wiki for more information.
Valeera’s Kit
Valeera is a melee assassin in Heroes of the Storm. Her abilities include Vanish, Sinister Strike, Ambush, Blade Flurry, Cheap Shot, Eviscerate, Garrote, Smoke Bomb, and Cloak of Shadows. Valeera is your standard WoW Rogue. I’m just not sure how her healing spec will work, I guess tanking will revolve around dodging and mitigating damage, the DPS spec is pretty clear with standard Rogue abilities.
