So, you’re starting at an inactive World of Warcraft subscription wondering if the Collector’s Bounty event is enough to drag you back in.
Let’s see what other players have to say!
The Lucky Side: 14 Mounts (Yes, Really)
On X, a player who goes by the name EziMoonpiercer, showed off the mounts they were able to farm in just a week! Ezi admits they “weren’t even thinking of resubbing but now they’re glad they did!”
In the haul, we see Mimiron’s Head,
Deathcharger’s Reins, and even the
Swift Zulian Panther! You will find the full list of the mounts that dropped below.
The Unlucky Side: 54 ICC Clears and Counting!
Of course, RNG is still RNG. A Reddit thread from forakis12 shows a screenshot with 8 alts running Legacy dungeons, back to back, while getting absolutely nothing.
Zero mount or rare transmog drops. I did the same amount of runs last week.

Another player, Yohanate, had to clear Icecrown Citadel 54 times, before Invincible’s Reins finally dropped. Moral of the story: the buff helps, but it’s still a dice roll, just a slightly kinder one.
Is It Worth Resubbing?
Now it all boils down to one question: is it worth resubbing?
The answer is yes! Chances that you will receive at least a single rare mounts while clearing Legacy raids once per week with a single character are quite high, but if you have an alt army that can clear the same raid, like Heroic 25 ICC multiple times per week, your chances at rare mounts drastically increase.
Winds of Mysterious Fortune returns July 15, which means you can level up alts fast for more raid clears!
