The following guide covers the Collector's Bounty event that takes place alongside The Greedy Emissary in World of Warcraft.

1.

Introduction

Collector's Bounty is a buff active alongside the The Greedy Emissary event from July 1 through July 29, on live servers.

The buff drastically increases the drop chances of rare mounts, such as Ashes of Al'ar Icon Ashes of Al'ar, or Invincible's Reins Icon Invincible's Reins, which is why so many players are soloing Legacy raids and dungeons these days.

Dungeon and raid bosses also drop a lot more loot with the buff. Seeing 8 Rae'shalare, Death's Whisper Icon Rae'shalare, Death's Whisper to drop from Mythic Sylvanas is nothing unusual.

3.

Collector's Bounty Restrictions

Timewalking content is excluded, as are pets and toys. The buff simply does not apply to them. The buff does not apply to Dragonflight raids and dungeons!

4.

How to Turn off Collector's Bounty?

The Collector's Bounty buff will be turned on by default, but you can visit any innkeeper in capital cities to turn it off or on again.

Must-Have Addons for Collector's Bounty

The community has developed awesome tools for the Collector's Bounty buff that make farming mounts easy! The following section contains a list of curated addons and sites we recommend you to use!

5.1.

Collector's Bounty Helper

Collector's Bounty Helper is an addon that makes the mount grind easy, by displaying a comprehensive list of all the mounts you are currently missing. It also contains information about the raids that you have already farmed for that week, and we definitely recommend downloading it.

5.2.

Simple Armory's Mount Planner

Simple Armory contains a Mount Planner that will create a personalized mount route for you based on what you have already collected. Put in your character name, realm, go to the Collectable > Mounts tab and tick the Show Planner option to see your route.

Alternatively, you can use the Mount Run Planner addon with TomTom to get the Simple Armory mount route in-game with waypoints.

5.3.

Collector's Bounty Drop Rates

For the exact drop rates of the mounts, you can use a site called Collector's Bounty. It is very useful because it has a quick mount selection, and shows you the actual drop rate of the mount with the buff. You can also put in the number of attempts and hit Calculate My Chances to see how the drop chance increases with more runs.

Collector's Bounty Tips

Having alts is the key to looting rare mounts. With a single character, you are limited to a single lockout per week. However, having more chars at max level will drastically increase the odds of scoring those mounts.

Some raids, like Mythic Sepulcher of the First Ones can be difficult to solo, even at maximum level. We have prepared some tips on how to solo Mythic Sepulcher that you should check out if you do not want to be wiping to the Jailer!

Mythic Sanctum of Domination is super easy to solo, and you can ignore most of the mechanics, but during Mythic Sylvanas Phase 3 (Oribos Phase), you must jump to a different platform when Sylvanas starts casting an ability called Raze. Otherwise, you will be one-shot and the fight will end. The fight is quite long so make sure to follow this simple step and avoid losing precious time wiping.
