Final Season 2 Raid DPS Log Rankings: A Decisive Winner

Starym's Avatar by Starym

We see a clear seasonal winner in the final week, the most popular spec rising as well, and generally quite a few changes for this late in the season to check out. As always, the final look at the logs is more for comparison purposes for the start of the next patch/season, so it’ll be a bit shorter. Let’s get into it!

Note: We are using normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.

Overall Damage 95th Percentile

Devastation manages to edge out Marksmanship from the No.1 spot, securing its place as the undisputed top spec of Season 2! The Warlocks follow and remain in formation, with Destruction at the front. Retribution pulls off a last-minute surge, grabbing No.5 as Survival dives down in one of its downswing weeks. Augmentation comes out of nowhere right behind the Paladin, coming in from outside the top 10 and gaining five spots in 6th, making this an eventful final week! Havoc sits still in 7th as Arcane stays strong while Shadow crashes and burns, dropping four spots at the finish line. We then find Survival in 9th, just ahead of Beast Mastery, making it three Hunters in the top 10! Frost Mage is dead-last, but it should be doing a lot better in the new season with many buffs. The Druids gather up to fill the other two bottom 3 spots.

Overall Damage All Percentiles

Devastation was already stable at the top in the generalist bracket, so no news there. The first change we see in 5th place again, as Survival also drops here, but only one spot to Retribution. We see Fury doing well here, gaining two spots in 7th, just ahead of Havoc. Arms makes it two Warriors in the top 10. Augmentation seems to be a top parser-only spec as we find it way down in the dumps, only out-bottomed by Frost Mage.

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

The top direct damage dealers stay stable, and Retribution joins them, in 5th once again.

Heroic Overall Damage All Percentiles

Devastation makes it to the top in Heroic as well, beating out Marksmanship in the lower difficulty. Survival is on the upswing here, sitting in 4th, as the plate-wearers converge around 5th. The bottom 3 is very different, as we see Outlaw, Frost (but not the Mage) in the final two spots.
