The new Delve Nemesis had a rough start with an exploit trivialising her in the first few days. But now Ky’veza’s all patched up and ready to blast, so here’s how the fight works with some tips on how to handle her!
After countless wipes and learning the fight inside out, one Fury Warrior finally brought down Ky’veza on ?? difficulty. Pristine-Corner-104‘s kill wasn’t about raw damage, it was about mastering mechanics, keeping cool under pressure. And, with small adjustments, they finally took her down, and yes, it was waaaay more stressful than Zev’kir or Underpin.
Running Setup
As mentioned before, they played as a Fury Warrior, so they were generally quite tanky, and the 682 ilvl didn’t hurt either. While higher DPS can shorten the fight, the real challenge was in consistently executing the mechanics over a long, focused attempt.
Brann was set up as a healer with Hatarang and
Audio Amplification Crystal, relying mainly on the healing potions. By staggering potion pickups, they were able to maintain a stacking HoT through most of the fight – the classic method.
Tips ‘n Tricks
- For Massacre, they had the most success just planting their feet and using the mouse to quickly turn toward each clone as it lit up. Moving while turning often made the game fail to register the facing and caused instant deaths. The shell game was the real headache, zooming out and following the shadow or void trail worked way better than trying to watch the clone itself.
- To reduce visual clutter, they turned off most addons, WeakAuras, and nameplates, set spell density to Essential, enabled outline mode, and disabled anti-aliasing to make clone outlines easier to see.
- Most of the incoming damage came during the Rift (“big suck”) phase, so they saved Brann’s potions and their own defensives specifically for that moment.
And here’s s different Warrior, this one Protection, getting the boss down with a very much smaller ilevel, coming in at 625. Interestingly, the fight took almost exactly twice as long as for the geared Fury Warr, with a 16+ minute runtime! But you’ll get a really good look at all the mechanics at least!
After mastering those mechanics, you will surely get her down, but make sure to take your time, because Pristine-Corner-104‘s kill took around 9 minutes. After you get the Let Me Solo Her: Nexus-Princess Ky’veza achievement, make sure to flex it to everyone, because let’s be honest, you deserve it. Unfortunately, the title doesn’t seem to be Warbound, so you’ll have to re-clear it with any alt you want to flex on.
