A new major Timewalking event arrives with the next patch and will lead us right to 11.2! We see quite a few changes from last time as the addition of Battle for Azeroth mixed things up, as it’s both opening and closing the festivities. So let’s see what’s coming in the next 7 weeks, starting next Tuesday/Wednesday!
The Schedule
Let’s get right to the list so you don’t have to scroll too much:
- Week 1: Battle for Azeroth
- Week 2: Mists of Pandaria
- Week 3: Burning Crusade
- Week 4: Warlords of Draenor
- Week 5: Legion
- Week 6: Classic
- Week 7: Battle for Azeroth
We see the BfA sandwich in there, which is good since we’ll have more opportunities at the mounts and rewards from the newly added expansion. We can also see Burning Crusade was moved up ahead of Warlords compared to the last rotation. Two expansions had to leave the list with the double BfA addition, and it was Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm that took the hit. Those of you still farming Invincible won’t bee too happy, since the mount could drop from the timewalking cache during the event as well.

The Battle for Azeroth Dungeons
With a new Timewalking expansion come new Timewalking dungeons!
- Atal’Dazar
- Freehold
- King’s Rest
- Shrine of the Storm
- Temple of Sethraliss
- Waycrest Manor
The Mounts
The big one is certainly the Chrono Corsair, which you can see in the article header, gained from the
Master of the Turbulent Timeways III achievement. You’ll need to get the
Mastery of Timeways buff for 5 weeks during the event. You do that by simply gaining the
Knowledge of Timeways buff 4 times, which you get by simply finishing Timewalking dungeons. As pointed out by audioshaman, you can also just save the buff after the first week (on an alt, for example) and then just do one dungeon on the subsequent weeks to extend it, and it will count for the achievement! The buff also increases your experience gained, and with Timewalking generally already being very good for leveling, those 7 weeks will be great for getting some more specs to max level!
There are also two new mounts coming from the Battle for Azeroth Timewalking vendor for 5,000 badges during the event as well, the Reins of the Moonlit Nightsaber and the
Reins of the Ivory Savagemane. You can check their animations out here.

You can also check out all the easy BfA mounts you can get from Exalted reputations via the Timewalking reputation commendations here.
