If you’ve been needing to farm old reputations, but just haven’t found time for the grind, then we have good news for you! The 
Winds of Mysterious Fortune buff is returning with the Midnight pre-patch event on 27th January, but with one big difference.
Winds of Mysterious Fortune Buff Changes
The Winds of Mysterious Fortune buff was first bestowed upon us earlier in The War Within. The buff increases experience gains by 20% for levels 10 through 80. Previously, reputation gains for The War Within/Dragonflight were also increased by 100%/200%.
However, reputation bonuses from this buff will change with the pre-patch. Winds of Mysterious Fortune now grants a flat 50% reputation gain across all factions in WoW.
This is great news for anyone needing to farm old reputations—especially when it comes to decor farming! But it’s not as great for newer, grinder reputation farms. Which version of the buff would you rather have?
