Patch 12.0.5 is bringing a lot of changes to WoW Midnight, and one of the smaller ones is already getting a big reaction from the community. Tanks will be able to keep Lindormi’s Glow active at all Mythic Plus key levels, not just up to +5 like it is right now.
What Is Lindormi’s Glow?
Lindormi’s Glow highlights specific enemy packs inside a Mythic+ dungeon. Defeating all highlighted enemies is enough to hit the 100% enemy forces requirement and complete the dungeon. It is basically a built-in route guide that removes the need to memorize pulls or use external tools like MDT (Method Dungeon Tools) or Keystone Guru.

Before this change, the feature only worked in keys up to +5. From patch 12.0.5 onwards, any tank can choose to keep it active at any key level by speaking with Lindormi near the Timeways portal or at the end of a dungeon. The whole party sees the highlighted mobs once the tank has it enabled.
This Is Great News for Tanks
Tanking has always been a challenge, especially for new players. Knowing which enemies to pull is one of the biggest barriers to tanking M+. It can be quite daunting, especially since it usually means studying videos, importing MDT strings, and memorizing pulls for every dungeon in the pool. For a lot of players, that extra homework is just not worth it.
So naturally, the community reaction to this change has been overwhelmingly positive. The default routes are considered ‘good enough’ up to around the +12 to +15 range, which covers a massive portion of the player base. High-end groups will probably ignore it and stick to optimized routes, but for PUGs and casual pushers, this is a great improvement.
The One Concern
There is, of course, the worry that some DPS might flame tanks for having it enabled. However, if a group is failing a +10 because they followed the highlighted route, the route was not the problem!
Hopefully, this is just the first step toward a fully customizable in-game route tool, something that lets tanks build and share their own routes the way MDT or KeystoneGuru does, but without needing to leave the game.
