We have some big post-tuning changes, with the big winner being Balance! Some top specs dropped off a cliff while the Druid continues to soar. We also see a rebound in Mythic popularity, while Heroic continues to drop. There’s plenty to cover, so let’s dive in.
Note: We are using normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.
Mythic
Most Played Specs (DR,VS. MQD)
We see a bit of a rebound this week in the three started Midnight raids, as almost each spec’s population pops up around 10%! Beast Mastery is doing particularly well, jumping two spots up into third and snagging an extra 8K players or so over the past two weeks. Retribution followed the Hunter up, with a 7K bump of its own! Devourer and Demonology are the ones that paid the cost and dropped the same amount of spots. The tuning didn’t do anything to the bottom 3, as we still have two Mages down there, but even they got a solid increase in players.
Sporefall
Sporefall actually dropped quite a few players as the new raid sheen wore off. Some specs dropped as many as 10K players, with the No.1 Unholy losing a whopping 20K on its own! The spec order remained mostly the same, with only Subtlety making any waves in the top 10, gaining one spot at the expense of Augmentation. We also see Destruction claw out of the bottom 3, leaving Devastation to join Fire and Assassination.
Overall Damage 95th Percentile
We do see some changes post-tuning, as Frost DK drops off more and more. This time around it’s down a big 4 spots in 7th. The opposite happened to Balance, as it takes its buffs and runs with them, all the way to 3rd place, in fact, 9 spots up! Havoc also rises, only two spots but still plenty impressive, especially without any help from the tuning. Survival and Devourer drop a little to accommodate the newcomers, as does Windwalker. Despite its surge in popularity, Beast Mastery actually drops a few spots to the very bottom of the list, joining permanent bottom 3 member Arcane and frequent visitor Affliction.
Overall Damage All Percentiles
Survival manages to fend off Marksmanship for a while longer in the generalist bracket, as Frost DK falls, but only two spots into 3rd. Balance pushes in here as well, lodging itself between the two Demon Hunters, and despite not rising as high as in the top percentiles, actually gains more spots – 11 to be precise. Demonology continues its drop as it goes way down to the middle of the pack, letting Augmentation into the top 10.
Sporefall
Arcane pushes through to the very top in the speedy Sporefall, while Devourer drops a solid chunk, 4 spots in fact. Destruction takes the Warlock crown from Affliction, rising a staggering 22 spots after a really bad first week in the raid.
Individual Bosses
Lightblinded Vanguard (Voidspire)

Crown of the Cosmos (Voidspire)

Belo’ren (March on Quel’Danas)

Midnight Falls (March on Quel’Danas)

Heroic
Most Played Specs
Heroic lost even more players, although nothing as major as the weeks before. We see around 3K fewer players in each top spec, with the top 10 remaining the same.
