A fresh look at the Data for Azeroth’s statistics has revealed which classes are getting the most playtime at max level, and one class is pulling ahead of the pack! The numbers don’t just show preferences, but also class viability and what players are really bringing to endgame content!

The most popular class at max level? Paladins by a NOTICEABLE margin!

Paladins Are Leading the Pack

As of this week, Paladins make up 12.2% of all characters at max level across all regions. That’s nearly 2% points above second-place class, Druid (10.7%).

A Look at the Full Class Breakdown

Here’s how the classes stack up at Level 70!

  1. Paladin – 12.2%
  2. Druid – 10.7%
  3. Hunter – 9.7%
  4. Shaman – 8.6%
  5. Warrior – 8.2%

At the bottom of the chart, it’s no surprise to see Evokers as the most recent class, sitting at just 3.5%. Rogues also continue to fall behind just above Evokers with 4.4%.

Why This Matters

Level 80 is where the real game begins, so these stats offer a snapshot of which classes players are truly committing to for endgame content, such as raids, Mythic+, and Delves.
