One Spec Is Taking Over DPS! Manaforge: Omega Logs, Week 3

Starym's Avatar by Starym

It’s all about Arcane this week, as the Mage takes over the place! We’re taking a peek into the overall Mythic chart as well, and while the spec isn’t at the very top there, it doesn’t have a long way to go. We also see Fury drop off a solid amount, Marksmanship does a lot better, and Assassination lost quite a few spots.

For a look at which specs are expected to be on top later in the raid, after the tier sets and gear even out a little, here’s our Manaforge: Omega tier list.

Note: We are using normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.

Heroic

Overall Damage 95th Percentile

Arcane takes over Heroic, not only moving past Destruction but also moving ahead and making a bit of a gap between the two. Fury drops off after a strong performance last week, but only two spots, down into 6th. The Hunter and DK take advantage of that and move one up, while the king of Mythic+, Subtlety, remains very stable in 7th. We have an unexpected visitor to the top 10 right after that, as Windwalker is the story of the week, gaining a huge six spots! Shadow is also on the move, grabbing two spots in 9th. Unholy drops a little and closes out the top 10, with Devastation looking in. Assassination not only drops out of the top 10, but finds itself down in 14th. The bottom 3 remains the same, with Beast Mastery dropping to the very bottom and Frost Mage moving up a tiny bit.

Overall Damage All Percentiles

The generalist chart always moves more slowly, so we see no changes in the top 4, aside from Elemental slightly gaining on the top 2. Marksmanship makes a giant leap up, 9 spots into 5th, as the all percentiles chart catches up to the top percentiles. The DKs move one up together, this time with Frost in the lead. The Balrog, aka Shadow and Fire, also move up one spot together, with Assassination closing out the top 10. Retribution is on the rise just outside, moving 5 spots up post-Discord-reopening.

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

Unholy is moving back towards its old top spot in the direct damage chart, pushing Elemental down one. Fire takes down Assassination, and we see where Fury lost a lot of its standing, dropping three spots to 10th.

Mythic

We’re taking a peek into the Mythic overall rankings, as around 3000 guilds have killed at least one boss in the Manaforge. Only 10 managed to down Dimensius in the top difficulty so far, however.

Arcane is creeping up on the Forgeweaver, Affliction on The Soul Hunters, and marksmanship is taking over Fractillus, with Feral dropping quite a bit there.

Forgeweaver Araz

The Soul Hunters

Fractillus

Individual Bosses, Heroic

We see where Arcane gets its top spot right here, as it’s pretty much dominating both final bosses in Heroic. Destruction is strong on both as well, with the DKs still pretty much sticking together and doing very well for themselves.

Nexus-King Salhadaar

Dimensius, the All-Devouring

Normal Overall Damage All Percentiles

Normal looks similar to heroic, with Destruction and Frost DK doing a bit worse. Marksmanship is also still not on the same level as in the higher difficulty, and the bottom 3 looks very different, with the exception of BM still being in there.
