Last week, players finally got to test the with the long-awaited player housing feature on the 11.2.7 PTR for a limited time. During test, we saw plenty of impressive creations, like a giant mech lawn ornament and other shenanigans. Redditor studiedoyster built a towering vertical jump puzzle and shared their climb, perfectly synced to Linkin Park’s “In the End.”
The clip shows just how flexible the housing system is as the player parkours higher and higher across various objects. Beds, boxes, tables, and tomes are all perfectly placed, some suspended in the air, others clipped to the walls, creating a satisfying climb.
A tilted sofa and even a water well add some tricky obstacles, with multiple surfaces and extra complexity. Jumping has always been fun in WoW, but this clip makes me hopeful for the flood of player-made minigames to come.
Many players jump into to the comments to share their excitement and the wave of nostalgia the clip brought. That song choice couldn’t have been better!

Fans Fuel the Future of WoW Housing
The PTR housing test let players experiment with the decorating and placement tools Blizzard has been developing. These tools give players an impressive level of freedom to move, resize, stack, and clip items. As an ongoing, evergreen feature, housing will keep evolving with future patches.
Imagine the future where player housing is filled with racecourses, combat arenas, escape rooms, and scavenger hunts to share with friends.
Custom games built through housing could unleash player creativity like never before.
If Blizzard expands these tools, we could see a full creative sandbox for minigames, collabs, and competitions. If this is just the beginning, it might actually be worth the wait!
What are you most excited about when player housing finally releases?
