This week, a build went viral on X showing a golem holding up a player’s house with one hand. Player Housing’s own Atlas. It looked incredible, unbelievable… and even caught the attention of Senior World Developer, Jeff Miller.
But the image turned out to be AI generated. The community didn’t let the disappointment get them down though. They built it—and honestly, the real versions might be even better.
Player housing has been on a creative hot streak lately. We’ve seen floating ship builds, elaborate treehouses, and houses with actual legs. So when the fake rock man build popped up, it felt like the natural next escalation.
The best part? Blizzard didn’t patch it out! Instead, they saw these amazing builds, and decided to make it even easier for players to float their houses. And to further support these crazy creations, they increased the exterior budget from 200 to 250 at House Level 3!
Judging by these increasingly ambitious architectural experiments, we’re nowhere near the ceiling of what people can (and will) build.
