Midnight launches for Players with early access on 26th February, and officially on 2nd March. Whether you’re in with the early crowd or waiting patiently until next week, here is everything we recommend doing to prepare for Midnight!
Clean Your Bags
It may seem obvious, but clean your bags—reagents included! Vendor all your trash and stow any unnecessary items in your bank. You’ll need a clean slate for your new gear, quest items and materials.
Download Useful Addons
Downloading some useful addons now can save headaches later. Here are a few basics we recommend having:
- TomTom – a coordinate-based navigation addon.
- BetterBags – clearly categorises items in your bags.
- Plumber – this addon offers a variety of UI customisation options.

Recuperate
Recuperate is a new healing spell added in patch 11.1.7, available to all classes. Whilst you need to be out of combat to cast it, this spell has no cooldown. Don’t forget to drag this useful spell to your bars—it might just come in handy!
Useful Guild Items
Guild vendors have some useful (and often forgotten about) items that will help you on your way when Midnight hits.
The 
Shroud of Cooperation, 
Wrap of Unity, and 
Cloak of Coordination back pieces all offer teleports back to Orgrimmar/Stormwind—great if your Hearthstone is on cooldown.
You should also consider picking up a 
Battle Standard of Coordination. Guild members within 100 yards of the Battle Standard will have their experience, honor, and reputation gains by 15%.
Hit Honor Cap
If you’re a PvP enjoyer, hitting the 
Honor cap before Midnight will give you a head start when the expansion hits. Whether you want to gear up quickly, or you’re looking to sell upgrade materials on the Auction House, having an Honor supply is going to help!
Darkmoon Faire
Fortuitously, the next Darkmoon Faire event falls in the first week of Midnight! Make sure ride the carousel or the roller coaster to get the 
WHEE! buff, as this will increase your experience and reputation gains by 10%.
You can also purchase 
Darkmoon Top Hats to reapply this buff without having to revisit the Darkmoon Faire.
