Post-Tuning 11.2 Raid DPS Charts: Triple Warlock Specs in Top 5

Starym's Avatar by Starym

We’re back with the full week’s worth of data! Liberation of Undermine is still not very visited after the patch, but there’s around three times as many logs in as when we last checked in. Some specs even made quadruple digits! Once again, these logs won’t necessarily correspond with the new raid’s, with the new boss mechanics. That goes double for the gear available and especially the class sets, which will change everything. But it’s still good to have a base to compare to, and if our recently updated Mythic+ tier list is anything to go by, Warlocks and Mages should have a good time of it at the start of the season!

This is also the last time for a long while we’ll be seeing Mythic data for the overall numbers, as the focus will be on Heroic for Manaforge: Omega’s first weeks.

Note: We are using normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.

Overall Damage 95th Percentile

The Warlocks have fully taken over! We have all three specs in the top 5, and two in the top 3! Affliction is currently at the top of the heap by a large margin, with Shadow sitting in 2nd with an even bigger gap ahead of 3rd. Demonology barely beats out Devastation, which sits in a purple sandwich. Arcane is the biggest change since day 1, a it drops five spots into 7th. The two Frosts are rising together (same as in the M+ tier list), as the Mage and DK will certainly be contenders in the new raid. Enhancement finds itself in last spot, but it did receive a lot of buffs in this week’s tuning pass, so at least it won’t be this low. Fire and Arms weren’t so lucky in the tuning, so we’ll see how they do in the new environment.

Overall Damage All Percentiles

Things are even more Warlock-y in the generalist bracket, with only Shadow putting up a fight against the purple onslaught. The last of the Hunters in the top drops down, with Survival’s very low player count ending in the lower half of the chart. Elemental is putting up a good fight, almost topping a ‘lock and landing in 5th, and beating out the Season 2 champ as well. Arcane drops and Frost rises, as the two Mages will go head-to-head to see who’s the best light blue spec. Augmentation is still sticking around in the top 10, while the bottom 3 adds Balance to the pile.

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

Destruction is the only Warlock missing from the top in the direct boss damage chart, with Elemental doing a lot better here. Unholy also makes an appearance, even beating out its fellow DK!

Tanks

Things aren’t drastically different here, but we do see Guardian rise to the top in the tank DPS chart, beating out Protection Warr. Blood hangs on in third while Prot Palas find themselves at the bottom.

Healers

The more relevant healer list sees Mistweavers at the top, flipping Holy Priest’s domination. Preservation moves up quite a bit into 3rd, as do Paladins in 4th!

Heroic Overall Damage All Percentiles

We’re also peeking into Heroic, as players actually went into LoU since day 1. All Warlocks are still present in the top 10, but not quite as clustered at the top. Affliction still wins it all, but Arcane and stics around the top a while longer, and Unholy actually rises quite a bit!

And that’s our final look at the Liberation of Undermine logs… forever! Next week the Manaforge beckons as we get some more relevant data. It’s still going to be very chaotic, as all raid launches are, from the gearing up to the tier set bonuses throwing everything off balance each week. We can’t wait!

As always, you can check out our tier lists and our class guides, updated with the latest changes! And for even more stats, head on over to Warcraft Logs.
