The nineteenth week of Mythic+ in this season is over, and Nightstalker314 is taking a look at the weekly data provided by Raider.IO. Retail Mythic+ had a slight drop-off during the pre-Christmas week. Remix M+ almost fully relapsed to previous metrics after the final update. Activity before and during the holiday season always varies a lot. In addition, all TWW content is approaching its final month. Let’s examine the details.
Weekly Total Run Performance Compared To Other Seasons
First things first: global activity dropped by 9.06%. Once again, Chinese players are showing a tendency to focus more on Titan Reforged than Retail. Their metrics dropped by 11.27%, while the other regions dropped by 7.20%. TWW S3 is now the sole bottom line for all comparable seasons. But previous seasons never had to compete with something like Remix or the early Housing hype that late into their cycle.

The global share of Chinese player activity continues to decline. Just 44.67% of all runs were done on their servers. This is a value that hasn’t been reached since week 2 of the season. S1 of Midnight will be the first time we’ll see metrics from an expansion start in China. It’ll be interesting to see how ambitious they are when starting from scratch. Especially with their bigger focus on high keys, which will be a lot more rewarding in Midnight.

Remix numbers grew more than 50% in the previous week. A drop of around 30% in week 11 brought everything down to almost the same level as in week 9. The final weeks might show us metrics below 100,000. But overall, players have been quite busy in this limited-time M+ mode, racking up almost 6,000,000 runs in total so far.

Total Runs Across All S3 Dungeons
The split across all dungeons widened quite a lot this week. Eco-Dome solidified its position as a quick, easy, and convenient dungeon for this entire season. But it is quite surprising to see Dawnbreaker fall in favor below the shunned Ara-Kara. One major factor could be the even lower participation on the Chinese servers, just 9%, which dragged it down a lot. Also, the two most unpopular dungeons of S3 had been the most popular dungeons during their first appearance in previous seasons. Rebalancing must have gone wrong here.

The overall success rate dipped a bit. Down 0.45 percentage points to 87.70%. Voidbound is not that challenging in farm runs, but bad spawns and a lack of focus can turn this affix into an annoying burden. Eco-Dome (93.04%) reclaimed the top spot again, ahead of Gambit (91.92%). Streets of Wonder (90.33%) and Halls (89.18%) had quite a gap towards the lower half. Priory (85.97%) and Floodgate (84.05%) barely moved. But Dawnbreaker (83.47%) saw a really bad performance this week, while still being ahead of Ara-Kara (79.55%).
Split Across All S3 Key Levels
75% of all runs were completed at key level 10 and higher. And key level 10 was once again the favorite with a 25.88% share, just ahead of level 12 with 24.70%. The shift away from high keys continues. This is the combined outcome of more converted Remix alts being geared and less focus on high keys. The high-end players have reached their limit for this season.

There is slightly more activity week-by-week on key level 21. And below, we already see the chasm forming. Level 19 keys showed lower numbers than level 20. Just above this threshold is the title cut-off range for this season. A top 1% or 2% title or similar reward would probably help to bridge this apathy gap in general. On the other hand, the level 18 vault rewards might at least temporarily lead to a higher activity here.
The success rate barely changed for all key levels. A drop between 0.5 and 1 percentage points in the lower key levels led to this. The valley between key levels 6 and 10 hasn’t really improved during this season. It continues to remind us, and hopefully the devs, that the impact of Tyrannical and Fortified is a bit too rough for less experienced players.
Legion Remix Dungeon Split
Split and order for the Remix dungeons barely changed compared to the previous week. Court of Stars remains a good reminder to cut down on RP in M+ dungeons. And the success rate for this dungeon seems to suffer massively from affixes and the hide-and-seek section.

Legion Remix Key Level Split
Key level 196 remains the ceiling for this mode so far. 200 might still be possible under ideal affix conditions. The odd focus on key level 119 continues within rather sparse high-level metrics. 0.16% of all runs were done on this level alone.

Absolute numbers for runs dropped on almost all key levels. The focus also barely shifted compared to the previous week. Key level 20 also grew a bit from 4.51% to 5.32%. Meanwhile, level 30 dropped from 6.74% to 6.15%, and level 40 dropped from 3.65% to 3.50%. Level 50 stabilized at 2.25%. The cosmetic rewards should be an easy grab for most players by now.
Conclusion and Week 20 Forecast
The long-term trends continue. Retail is showing a minor decrease, fueled by the shift in China towards Titan Reforged. And on Remix, the end is approaching fast. It remains to be seen if players will welcome the shift in Midnight towards high-key benefits and a potentially longer gearing progress for the average player.
As of this writing, 120 hours after the US reset, hourly numbers for the main regions are almost identical for the US and slightly behind for the EU. The shift away from Retail continues in China with -12% so far. The full breakdown returns next weekend.
