Retribution Drops, Devastation Rises: Season2 M+ DPS Logs, Week 20

We’re back in the very stable meta of late-Season 2 Mythic+. There’s some movement, but we have to look a little lower down the list for it. Retribution’s having a bad time as the generalist bracket shifts more and more towards the top percentile one, with Devastation being the big exception.

Warcraft Logs Points

The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing. This means that they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor. It is a much, much smaller factor, however. It grants only a few points for significantly faster completions compared to just any in-time finish. We’re also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity. This means that the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.

95th percentile DPS

We’re heading down to 7th place for our first change, where Arms has taken down Assassination in the eternal Warrior-Rogue conflict. We have to go outside the top 10 more any more movement, and the biggest shift there is Frost DK dropping a big 5 spots into the bottom half. At the actual bottom, we find Shadow dip down below Beast Mastery, as the two keep coming in and out of the bottom 3.

All Percentiles

The generalist bracket is still moving at the top, but that movement is only to get into the same shape as the top percentiles. Balance moves up to No.2 and bumps Arcane down one, while Retribution falls from its lofty 4th spot down to very close to its top percentile spot, in 7th. Outlaw is also on the rise, actually eclipsing Feral here. We then have even more variation from the top percentiles, as Devastation finds its way into the top 10, 4 spots up in 8th. Enhancement stays stable while Arms drops a few spots to the bottom of the top 10.

Specific Keys

Havoc dominates the 7s, as Windwalker drops to 3rd, and the DH does the same in 10s as well, where its Enhancement that falls from the top. Subtlety makes a big play in 12s, as it moves 10 spots up to the very top, taking fellow Rogue Outlaw’s No.1, as it falls down to 5th. Feral comes out on top in 15s, as Balance drops to 5th.

Very High Key Raw DPS Numbers

Note: We’re also taking a look at the raw damage numbers from Mythicstats. They take the top runs for extremely high keys (+13-19) from WarcraftLogs and list the overall DPS for the dungeon, which includes non-combat time as well. They’re ranked by the average DPS numbers, with the very top of the top shown next to it.

We’re heading down to 5th for some movement, where Feral gains a solid two spots, as Retribution drops one and Assassination three spots to make room. Elemental and marksmanship also rise, with the Hunter taking Destruction’s spot.
