We skipped week 9 proper as it came in just as the tuning hit, so we decided to postpone it a little to get some tuning effects in. And the effects did indeed kick in! We have Augmentation return in a big way, fighting up to the middle of the pack overall and some very high spots in higher keys! Let’s dive in.
Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing. This means that they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor. It is a much, much smaller factor, however. It grants only a few points for significantly faster completions compared to just any in-time finish. We’re also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity. This means that the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
95th percentile DPS
The top 4 remained exactly the same as it may take longer for the tuning to kick in, or it’s just a very solidified meta. Right after Feral’s No.4 we have the first change, as Outlaw leaps up a giant 10 spots into 5th, despite not getting any changes, pushing past Assassination and Elemental. Down in No.8 we have the first real tuning change, as a buffed Retribution rises two spots, surpassing Marksmanship and Enhancement.
And then there’s the BIG change that’s already being seen in even the very highest of keys, as Augmentation is back! Even in this half-week we see the spec burst up, finally, after many sets of buffs since that major nerf that brought it down to last place. In week 8 we saw it slightly rise to 3rd from last, but now we see it firmly in the middle of the pack. That 15% overall buff brought it to 12place, and it’s sure to rise even further as players realize the renewed potential. Down in the dumps we now have the other two Hunters and a Priest.
All Percentiles
The (un)holy trinity is cemented at the top, with the DK/Druid/Mage combo being very tough to beat. We do see a tuning change just a little after that, as Retribution gains one spot here, landing in 5th! Feral also rises with its buffs, just one spot, followed by an also single-spot riser, Enhancement. Outlaw gains a lot of ground here as well, also taking out Assassination in its 5-spot leap. Elemental drops down one and closes out the top 10, just ahead of Arms, which used its buffs to move one up. We see the two Hunters move down into the bottom 3 here as well, this time joined by Frost Mage, which also got some buffs that didn’t quite help.
Specific Keys
We see Augmenation’s rise very clearly here. It moved from the bottom into the top 10 in 7s and into a huge 2nd place in 10s, 4th in 12s, where Outlaw also shines at the very top. 15s are still very much exclusive to the very top specs. Havoc did get a bit of a boost from its buffs, and we do see Aug move from the bottom to the middle of the pack there as well.

Very High Key Raw DPS Numbers
Note: We’re also taking a look at the raw damage numbers from Mythicstats. They take the top runs for extremely high keys (+13-19) from WarcraftLogs and list the overall DPS for the dungeon, which includes non-combat time as well. They’re ranked by the average DPS numbers, with the very top of the top shown next to it.
Devastation dropped off quite a bit in the raw damage numbers, replaced by Outlaw in 2nd place. The Evoker landed all the way down in 9th. We see Balance and Retribution rise a couple of spots together, with Feral leaping a giant 10 spots into 5th. Fury’s buffs did not help it to escape the bottom 3, where its joined by Survival and Shadow.
