That “Innocent” Bush Might Be a Player in WoW Patch 12.0.5

Think that bush is just a bush? Think again! Prop Hunt is coming to World of Warcraft in Midnight’s Patch 12.0.5

This hide-and-seek-inspired mode joins WoW’s growing roster of alternative gameplay options alongside Plunderstorm, and another game mode teased in today’s State of Azeroth reveal.

What is Prop Hunt?

Prop Hunt is a game where players are split into two teams:

  • Props: Players disguise themselves as objects found in the environment, and hide in plain sight. Think bushes, boxes, bottles—Beloved Raptor Plushie iconBeloved Raptor Plushies?
  • Hunters: Players search for and (try to) eliminate Props before the timer runs out.

Originally released on Gary’s Mod, many games such as Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Team Fortress 2 have adopted Prop Hunt—widely celebrated for its humorous gameplay.

WoW continues to expand beyond traditional questing, dungeons, and raids. From Plunderstorm to Player Housing, Blizzard are on it when it comes to fresh experiences, for veteran and new players alike.

So, sharpen your wits, mind your barrels, and remember—after patch 12.0.5, nothing in Azeroth will be quite as innocent as it seems!
