In the current in-game map, Eversong Woods, Ghostlands, and the Isle of Quel’Danas all exist as separate zones—remnants of their original 2007 design. But not for much longer. Midnight brings long-awaited modernization to the north of Eastern Kingdoms, unifying several TBC-era zones into a cohesive, lore-consistent landmass.
Cartography Confusion
Currently in the Midnight Beta, the map of Eastern Kingdoms remains the same. Players have noticed, however, that the old map doesn’t quite make sense anymore. When standing in the new Silvermoon City, the map shows you to be stood in the middle of the sea between the Isle of Quel’Danas, and Eversong Woods—in a gap that doesnt exist anymore.

This has prompted some of WoW’s more artsy fans to imagine what Midnight’s new map might look like—and here’s what they’ve drawn up:
The redesign of Quel’Thalas is the most significant update to Eastern Kingdoms since TBC. Further details will continue to emerge as Blizzard reveals more about Midnight—but for now, these fan-made maps provide an exciting look at how the Eastern Kingdoms are being reborn.
