The Final Shape of the Meta? Weekly Raid and Mythic+ DPS Logs

Starym's Avatar by Starym

We’re back with a look at the logs, and we’re mixing things up with a combo of the Manaforge and dungeons! The raid logs are shockingly stable, as we may have reached the ultimate meta there. The dungeons are a little more varied, but still pretty stable. We do see a throughline for the week, however, as Subtlety is on the rise, with Retribution still moving up the ranks as well in both sections.

Mythic+ Spec and Group Popularity, Retail + Remix, Week 15

Note: We are using normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.

Mythic

Overall Damage 95th Percentile

While it’s expected to have a stable meta this late in the season, having the exact same top 10 week to week is almost as noteworthy as some big changes! Literally no specs moved at all in the top percentiles, with the first change coming in at No.11, and even that’s a small one, as Subtlety moves past Windwalker. Even the bottom 3 hosts the same specs, with Outlaw moving to the last spot.

Overall Damage All Percentiles

We do see movement higher up here, as the bracket is slower to move, so it’s still finding its final shape. Beast Mastery is still rising, moving past Frost DK into 5th. The rest of the top 10 remains the same, with Subtlety doing the exact same move to get to 11th, except it surpasses Unholy to do so here.

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

Arcane moves back into 2nd place as the two Mages are still fighting it out, and it seems No.11 is the big traffic spot for the week everywhere, as we see Affliction move in, gaining three spots.

Heroic Overall Damage All Percentiles

Heroic is also still playing catch-up with the ultimate meta, as we see Marksmanship still rising here. The Hunter moves into 6th, gaining a big four spots. The DKs huddle together right after that, with Unholy moving two up, while Retribution also surges, three up into the final top 10 slot.

Mythic+ DPS Logs

95th percentile DPS

The first change we can spot here is in line with what we saw in the raid, as Subtlety is having a really good week, gaining two spots to move into 5th. Retribution does the same move lower down, grabbing 10th and pushing Unholy out of the top 10, as Destruction sees a big 4-spot drop in 15th.

All Percentiles

We see the opposite trajectory for Subtlety in the generalist bracket, as it drops one below Fury in 6th. The rest of the top 10 remains the same, and just outside it, we see Survival move up a little and Augmentation drop a lot.

Very High Key Raw DPS Numbers

Note: We’re also taking a look at the raw damage numbers from Mythicstats. They take the top runs for extremely high keys (+14-22) from WarcraftLogs and list the overall DPS for the dungeon, which includes non-combat time as well. They’re ranked by the average DPS numbers, with the very top of the top shown next to it.

Fury and Elemental switch places in a smaller shuffle for 4th, while Unholy makes a giant move into 8th, and Retribution a two-spot jump into 9th.
