Venn is on a roll with the Manaforge: Omega solos, and today he brings us his most complicated one! After the Soulbinderer Nazindri and Fractillus solos that we covered, this is his third in the current-tier raid. Taking on the three Soul Hunters Demon Hunters on Normal is massively tricky, with debuffs of up to 130% more damage taken, 24 million damage single hits, reduced healing, TWO tank busters, and much more, so let’s dive in!
The 1V3 Solo
In case you didn’t do the raid or don’t remember the fight, there are three Demon Hunters to fight, each using one of the class’s specs, including the new Devourer Void one. The second tank buster,
Fracture, coming from Ilyssa, the Vengeance DH, caused the most wipes. While the initial 17 million damage isn’t that big of a deal (even with the 100% physical deubuff), it also stacks another debuff that increases its damage by 375%, since Venn can’t pick his soul back up!
But the real challenge was the enrage. All three Demon Hunters go into their intermission phases and spam their abilities nonstop. But that’s just the soft enrage… The hard one comes from the Vengeance DH, as the damage of the otherwise not so problematic
Immolation Aura, as
Aura of Pain infinitely stacks its damage up by 20% every 4 seconds. And if you’re familiar with any solo kills, they tend to take quite a while! Well, the stacks aren’t really infinite, they do cap out… at 99 stacks and 1980% damage. That adds up to 7 million damage every 2 seconds. So what could you possibly do to defeat these insane odds?
Running Away Is the Best Offense
Well, Venn is getting a bit of a reputation for this, but… he ran away. Venn noticed that the problematic abilities from the Vengeance and Havoc DHs had a 10-minute timer. That’s right,
Darkflight,
Nitro Boosts,
Wraith Walk, and
Death’s Advance all make a comeback from the Soulbinderer Nazindri kill! And the run is a long one too, as you can go quite far without the bosses resetting, and you need to outrange
Fel Inferno. Venn utilized the trash around the boss room to keep himself alive with
Death Strike. Venn didn’t run away immediately, however, surviving the regular fight for 8 minutes and 40 seconds before legging it to avoid the enrage abilities.
But just running away isn’t going to get the job done, is it?
Actually a 1V1?
Well, as it turns out, it is! After eluding the bosses for 10 minutes, something in the fight breaks. The Void and Havoc DH just seem to give up and do nothing for the rest of the fight. That sounds like an easy win then, right? Well, the one DH left fighting is also the most problematic one. We’re left with the 99 stacks of Immolation damage buff! Well, it seems these particular Demon Hunters are REALLY lazy, as Ilyssa also decides to call it a day after another 10 minutes of the fight! She just stands down and does nothing for the rest of the fight, joining her two fellow bosses.
All that’s left is killing all three very quickly one after the other. Here’s the full 40-minute fight:
While it may look like “just another running away kill”, actually discovering that this is possible, when to do it, and, most importantly, how, is the most impressive part. So congratulations to Venn on another massively impressive kill! What do you think of this solo?
